i think Trent underperforming is a massive problem for their attacking play
nothing is coming from him whereas last 2 seasons he was creating an insane number of chances

One reason for sure. Mo Salah and especially Firminho regressed a bit.

Mane and Salah looks like they have lost a yard of pace to me as well, not surprising as they are all hitting late 20's now. It means that technically they need to be spot on and when they aren't it gets badly exposed.
Firmino though just looks done to me and needs to be replaced at the end of the season. Hopefully Jota starts every game in the meantime when he returns.
