Being an unknown quantity could be an advantage, however.
Bayern will have done their homework on Giroud, they won't know much about Sanogo, so might make it harder for them to defend against.

Could do - it's a big gamble. You know what you're getting with Giroud even if it isn't that great.
Carragher is an idiot, sanogo hasn't been fit all season
Sanogo must be excited right now
Yeah it's definitely a gamble.
I guess we'll see if it pays off.
Carragher clueless. Why hasn't Sanogo been used so far? Because he has been injured you Scouse twonk.
Carragher speaking a lot of shít tonight
I was quite happy with what I saw of Sanogo against Liverpool, shooting aside.
Its a huge risk to give him only his 2nd start against a team that could easily be considered the best in the world at the moment though.
We have nothing to lose, Darren. All to win.
Not expecting Sanogo to actually do much if he gets the ball, but what he may do is give Caz and Oz the room to get into the game. Something Giroud fails to do.
Starting the Ox was the best decision he's made with this line up.
I was half expecting Rosicky, Ozil and Cazorla to start and that lacks pace and directness.
Hopefully it should be a good game. Last night was a massively let down, albeit it was good seeing City get outplayed on their own patch.
You know sanogo will close down, make runs that's all he has to do
Kroos is a big suprise to me. Needs to stop him shooting from distance
For today am a Wenger Knows on Sanogo

Fack me, thought that was the mascot next to Per. It is Lahm
If Giroud was goalkeeper he'd be Almunia's level.
