I was joking.

The point I was initially making is that I don't really care whether or not Rooney is world class. It should be quite a simple step to work out why I said what I did about rather having a team of very good players that win trophies than a few world class players that win nothing.

He respects himself as well. He knows that he is good enough to be paid a lot of money and that he deserves to be playing in a team of good players. But when he is on the pitch, he always gives his all. Sometimes he is out of form, but you can't criticise his effort on the pitch.
