I think you only have to ask top managers and players in world football and they all talk about wanting to play with him and have him in their side. That says it all really.
Scholes used to be spoken of in the same way but many a fan in this country would say he wasn't world class.
He will break the United record, England scoring record too. Is to of CL assists this season and holding together a woeful United side this season (along with De Gea). Looks fitter than for quite some time, runs himself into the ground most games.
As for him leaving, opinion was split somewhat. Some of us recognised him as the heartbeat of the team and vital to United, others wanted shot because either they didn't rate him or didn't like the supposed antics of trying to ensure the best possible contract offer and extension. The lad is simply indispensable for us right now and although that shouldn't be the case it is !
Soon to be captain too.

So, scoring a goal every 2.5 games in the CL is poor? Jesus Christ you have high standards. For a little bit of a challenge, can you find the highest goals per game ratios for the CL, for all players who have scored more than 20 goals in the CL?

I don't think any less is a particularly solid statistic, but you may disagree. If you do, please feel free to find those appropriate.
