I read LVG played a 3-3-3-1 with Bayern/Barcelona. He's flexible

think people jumped to too many presumptions regarding Van gaal, United will play 433 is one, Ive seen Bayern play 4231 few time when he was in charge, His ideology on how to play football maybe set in stone but playing 433 is not, He may use it or he may prefer a different formation at united. What ever formation he picks, Van gaal is one manger that has the capability to find a system gets the best out of our best attacking players.

Van Gaal falling out with Rooney is also not a certainty. Rooney has been a model professional on the pitch, Something that Van gaal prefers over anything else. Van Gaal and Rooney could work great together. Van gaal could actually help rooney achieve the the standards he should have achieved.

No matter what Van gaal will do, He can be trusted to make the best judgement on our attacking players.

Rather than calling the op names, how about offering reasons as to why he is wrong.
--------------------------------------
I wouldn't stoop to try and explain myself to this prat

But I will to you

He is hoping that the new manager will give the armband to a player who was reportedly unhappy this season (in only his second season here) and reportedly refused to play when the club said he was fit to. A player, whilst injured, who has been in Holland more than he has been at United and whilst playing this season, has looked utterly disinterested at times.

Rather than

A player who is already a leader, a player who has now commited the peak years of his career to this club too, a player who has been magnificent for us for a decade whilst climbing to our all time 3 highest goals scorer at only 28, with now only Sir Bobby and Denis Law ahead oh him. A player who gives his all on the pitch and leads by example

The OP isn;t acting with any rational. He's spitting his Dummy out because he believes everything he reads in the papers.

(Note. I have put all those 'reported' facts about RVP because of that exact reason. If the Op believes all the Rooney nonsense, then presumably he believes all the RVP nonsense too)

Jesus Christ, chill out with the Rooney love in.

You do like to use stories in the media when it suits you but claim nothing they write is true when anything negative is said about Wayne. How is he a leader? A very good player but I've not seen much to suggest he can lead others.

Grow up man.

Pitty you didn't read Maccas disclaimer at the end. Would have saved you your rant.

I don;t believe the RVP nonsense either and happen to think the only problem with him this season has been the imjury

I said yesterday, I cannot wait to see a happy RVP running to the crowd after scoring again and I have said many times that I don;t actually understand the people that actually want him sold. At his best, he's one of the best strikers in world football, why the hell would we want to sell him.

I was speaking on the proviso that the OP presumably believes the RVP nonsense too though seeing as he believes all the Rooney nonsnese.

Why don;t you have a go at him instead

Oh, as for your 'grow up' comment

Fek you It ain't my fault you didn't get what I was saying

I was explaining to Scholay, as asked

And wasn't it the OP that had the 'Rooney Rant'?

I'm simply defending one of our best players. And on any forum, that is my right as a member

You're so selective it's unbelieveable sometimes. If you find me boring, just move along and stop responding to me.

I actually find the ones that rant about Rooney embarrassing

posted on 2/5/14

He isn't being facetious because he used it as a platform to gush over Rooney as he always does. I'm not agreeing with the OP but Macca's constant Rooney loving is just embarrassing.

I defend the majority of United's players and will continue to do so on here when anyone writes an Op that is stupid (which you clearly seem to agree with)

The reason why Rooney gets the most defending should be pretty obvious

Yeah when it suits his agenda, he brings out " he is entitled to his opinion." When it is him ridiculing people, he forgets they are entitled to their opinion.

I disagree with the OP but I also tire of your Rooney lovin and that was my main gripe.

It's good that you defend all United players as you should do as you support United but I feel that your personal admiration for Rooney is a bit too much. Let's just leave it, sorry for offending you.

Fair enough. TBH I do believe some of the reports on Rooney, however will keep him ahead of RVP. Point is with LVG, i highly doubt both of them will fit in his system. One will make way, and it might be Rooney.

Don't really see Rooney being sold. I think the recent contract he signed is weighted so that United benefit from Rooney commercialism just as much as the player himself, so financially it doesn't make sense to get rid.

Aside from this, he has shown he does have a little bit of footballing ability, and this might be the biggest reason to keep him. If Van Gaal is as good a coach as his reputation, then there shouldn't be a reason for him not to have a player of Rooney's ability around.
