Anybody else a little concerned weve made no movement in the transfer window? I know weve looked a great team all season but resting on our laurels smacks of overconfidence for me. Cant hope to catch city with that attitude.

I appreciate it's not July 1st yet but that has never stopped us before (Fabinho being the most recent example).

Fred of course featuring regularly with the nonsense.

Don't think not signing players ever works. Spurs being a good example of that. You almost always regress without making changes.

I don’t think it’s very interesting or even true. Thiago has stated he wants to leave, Bayern have stated their price. The closer it gets to the end of the window the less chance they have of achieving that price. IMO, they’re just trying to force the issue.

I also think, and this is assuming that we are genuinely interested, that Thiago will be fully aware of the whole situation and that it’s all in control. I seem to remember VVD saying how he trusted Klopp/the club to get things done, which is why he was so patient and didn’t get his head turned by anyone else, despite various reports saying our deal could be hijacked.

I typically pay about £100-200 per year on Liverpool things, not that it matters in any way on the topic of 19 Premier League clubs getting on with transfer business as normal and the other trying to convince its fans that their club, incidentally the club that has more prize money than those other 19 clubs, is broke. Thank God we won the CL and PL these last 2 years otherwise we would be in administration.

Do you reckon we will wait to see how the likes of Brewster plays in pre-season before going into the market?

Still think we'd be making an error not making one or two quality additions.

We need to protect players. Bobby last few seasons has been playing on empty by the time March comes. We need good players to step in. Origi has defo helped but then we are looking at a 18 year old.

Salah and Mane are high impact players. They need to be protected too with the amount of games. Missing the odd cup game is not enough. We need more strength in depth.

Wish we had sorted out that strength in depth

i read that, worrying words.

Might have somehow managed 96 points or w.e it was and 1 off City but our squad was still £240+ million off theirs and it showed at times, our bench looked weak and we got away with our front 3 being fit for most of it and 2 of our most experienced benchers have left in Studge and Moreno.

Meanwhile City have spent 90m and lost Kompany who they spent 6m on? Liverpool have spent 2m and lost Ings Studge Moreno who they spent 30m+ on

To be honest it's been a poor show from the club SO FAR in the window.

We are really close to being able to overhaul City, but you just can't stand still in footbal..

All can change fairly quickly however if we make a move in the market.

I do wonder if we spent a lot in last summer's window with the expectation of a quiet summer this.

I fully expect us to finish a lot further away from City without investment considering they've already strengthened. What's worrying is that Spurs have also made an astute signing.

If we don't improve our squad Klopp will sacrifice the league and FA cup again.

League i just feel we will join the chasing pack and City will be clear winners this time.
