Jota out for a few more weeks is a huge blow.
I'd be looking at signing an attacker tbh before the window closes.

As an emergency signing, even to give Matip breaks in games I'd take Sokratis. He's better than Phillips and Williams, and I really want Henderson in midfield.
But I also get the negatives, he has been crap at Arsenal! I was a huge fan of him at Dortmund though.
Just got to hope that when Klopp says Jota won't be back within the next one or two weeks, he means that he will be back after two weeks so still early next month.

Arsenal are not going to terminate his contract so as he can come and play for us on a free.
Yes he’s a free agent now, yes he can go where he likes, and yes Arsenal are a bit of a laughing stock when it comes to the recent transfer market.
But that can’t possibly have agreed to let him leave for free now if they had any sort of inkling he’d sign for a rival.
Pretty much every newspaper report lists the 4 or 5 teams courting him. We aren’t one of them

There was talk of him being back ahead of schedule though by the end of January. So hopefully it is still early February.

There is now a realistic chance of us not qualifying for Europe. This is a rot and we are doing nothing to address it. The top teams like Chelsea, Leicester and Utd becoming consistent now.

We'll qualify for the CL without a doubt provided we actually wake up sooner rather or later but I do think the league is gone. Not because we far adrift because we aren't but we aren't the same side as last year.
Just want City to win it ahead of United!

What's all this nonsense from Didi Hamman and Barnes that Thiago slows us down too much? These were the same people who were crying out that we needed a creative midfielder and now are moaning.
Have I been watching a different game?
The slow play existed for this season before Thiago came into the side. They just want to sound hipster
I wouldn't say the play is too slow at all, it's just the team look short of ideas when they get into the final third at the moment from the wide areas and central areas.
I'm not sure if they were expecting Thiago to be a De Bryune when he came to the league, but he isn't that. Not even a David Silva either, they are different types of player.
