Origi stats don't look great either 5 Goals in 30 Apps for Lille.

---

He is 19.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So is Sterling and he got 9 goals last season form a Wing/Supporting role in a much harder league.

Kalou got 16 Goals and 6 Assists for Lille, shows how easy a league it is.

If we can get Origi for a good price then go for it, but it just seems like we're signing a player for more than he's worth because he's been decent in the World Cup.

He is costing about 10m Euro's, so about £8m.

That's about the price you would expect to pay for a full international striker at 19 with two years on his contract.

We would have signed two strikers for £12m, if we sell Borini for £10m and Aspas for £5m, we have replaced them both without spending any money at all.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Easier said than done, think we'll be able to sell Borini but who's going to offer that for Aspas?

A Spanish team will easy pay that for Aspas.

A bad season in England where he hardly paid doesn't make him worthless.

Teams in Spain need to be very cautious with money because of the way the TV rights are split, giving the bigger clubs all the money. Spending £5m would be a big risk for a mid table club in Spain, it will be hard to offload him.

Feck you Suarez, feck you.

He'll be banned for these games:

Southampton(H)
Man City(A)
Spurs(A)
Aston Villa(H)
West Ham(A)
Everton(H)
West Brom(H)
QPR(A)
Hull(H)

And that's obviously not including the Champions League, which It think he's likely to miss the first 3 Group Games.

I think it's more likely that he'll miss games like;

Valencia
Greneda
Almeira
Atletico
Real Madrid
Etc

Fair enough. I think the ban is probably about right but it is harsh on LFC.

We should fine him.

I'm almost certain we will.

comment by Robbing_Hoody - Here, have some goals. You don't have to work for them. They're a gift. That's what we do now. (U6374)

I totally agree, who compensates LFC if he is banned...will he still get paid?

They have a valuable asset that they can't use or may not get the maximum value for IF they decied to cash in on him.

I'm guessing he won't be paid whilst he is unavailable?

Yeah, misses more games for us than he would for Uruguay, just a bit unfair.

Is he on those pay-as-you-play contracts?

Im sure his new contract is heavily structured on bonuses.

posted on 26/6/14

oh but hes allowed to be sold haha nice one fifa, makin sure he moves to spain

posted on 26/6/14

hopefully no one bids for him now

posted on 26/6/14

It'll go to the asb, can't see liverpool taking this punishment lieing down, they will probably push for him to be banned from the equivalent number of international games instead.

Citing his exemplary behaviour thos year while in treatment. Alongside the fact fifa have frozen their asset through no fault of their own.

It's unlawful, we will see what happens.

Fifa have been clever. Give him a harsh ban because the world press is out in force at world cup. When the appeal comes they will shorten it back home in Geneva and Bryan Swanson will be too busy at that time getting wet over the transfer window totaliser.
