More suicide references yay!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

If the term is offensive then perhaps it shouldn't be used.

What would you prefer? Positivity challenged? Optimistically impaired?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course it’s offensive

Just call them drama queens or whiny cvnts. Don’t need to use wrist slitters. Somebody I know committed suicide a year or so ago so that expression has been grating on me for a while.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve lost several friends this way and I never make the link between that term and people actually committing suicide. Just stop your fecking attention seeking and grow the feck up. You’re a clown.

These wokies and their outrage over nothing.

Video on twitter showing all workers leaving site today until otherwise notified.

It's definitely getting pushed back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a huge financial detriment to the club then. Just what we needed!

It won't come at much cost to the club at all. They'll tender the remaining work to a tier one contractor and probably TUPE the same staff.

Our midfield has definitely improved in terms of technicality. CuJo has good technique too. But I still feel like our forwards want/are best with the ball played in behind the defence, which means I think we'll be seeing plenty of risky forward passes from the midfield which of course can result in a turnover. Chilwell's offside goal came from a moment like that and there were several others against Chelsea which weren't punished.

Obviously I want us to try and be creative and score goals so it's a positive that we're continually trying to get our forwards into dangerous situations, but the balance just doesn't seem right. When we lose the ball in those situations it's just so easy for the opposition to cut through us in a couple of passes.

Could be delayed even further then.

The unfortunate thing about these middle eastern state owners is not only are they richer than god, they also actually run football clubs very well or at least have the foresight to hire the right people.

Say what you like about City, it's a well run club, same with Newcastle it would seem.

While we never had the money historically we were always run brilliantly, now we don't really have either going for us which will make it damn near impossible to compete in the coming seasons.

While I'm not FSG Out, I would not be sorry to see them sell the club to a different owner.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, this is one way to look at it I guess. It's easier to run your club "very well" when you have bottomless pockets. IMO, it's not that these clubs are that well run, they just have so much money that mistakes don't hurt them as much which makes them look more well run than they are.

They haven't had to make make or break signings for a long time, their squad has been well stocked, they're not desperate for particular players to be excellent as if they don't then they have someone else or will casually bring in a top replacement. Most other clubs make a signing and pray to God that it works out as they're facked if it doesn't.

You can't just say they are well run without accounting for the endless money supply. Other clubs have tried to spend beyond their means but are now in trouble because their pockets aren't endless like City's.

Disagree. Chelsea may not be state owned, but given the amounts they spend they may as well be and they have the same unlimited budget. You still have to get recruitment, particularly of management, DOF, transfer committees etc right and City + Newcastle owners have done very well in that area.

This ^^^

Chelsea wasn’t particularly well run by Abramovic either.

There was a stat doing the rounds (think from sky) at the weekend:

City's current defenders - £424m
Burnley's entire history - £360m

City can afford to make mistakes and just go again with another £50m defender. Doesn't matter to them.

Don't think anyone is saying insane amounts of money makes you a well run club. Chelsea are the proof.

I think what is being said is that having insane amounts of money makes it significantly easier to be a well run club. The consequences of mistakes just aren't the same.

For all of Chelsea's d!ck swinging I reckon they'll be starting to annoy pretty much every other Prem club, which will make future dealings increasingly hard if I'm right.
