Blimey, that sounds massively out of line with the rest of the squad (Mo & VVD aside). He used to be on £120k a week, parity with the likes of Grav, Szobo, Ali, AMA etc.

Slot just went back to what has worked last season. 3 in midfield and Szoboslai joining in the press and that's all what i have asked for. Gravenberch was also more disciplined in that deeper role which helped us to contain their counter attacking threat.

Felt like we were our recent opponents and RM were the Liverpool of recent losses. Absolutely outfought and went hiding. Courtois = Alisson the only reason it wasnt worse.

Dom is fast becoming my favourite player. That right foot of his is becoming magical. He’s putting great balls in, testing the keeper, and still managing to cover every blade of grass.

I’ve always been a fan and never doubted his quality, but he was getting criticism for not doing enough in an attacking sense and taking responsibility in that sense, though I’m pretty sure that wasn’t all down to him and more a case of what he’s been asked to do by his managers. Either way, I think that’s firmly been put to bed now.

And to think last season someone on the thread of depression actually said he was overrated

Though Virg’s interview was almost my favourite part of the game. Rooney had his fat ass handed to himself on a plate, and the way he shut Walcott down after he tried to get him into talking about Trent was epic
