Liverpool rejected a proposal worth €70m from Al Nassr in January which sets a minimum bar if an exit is to materialise. Nunez is thought to favour staying in Europe. Atletico Madrid are among those considering the forward.

The bid was not formally rejected and at that point club to club talks began.

The talks are ongoing and are centred around the structure of a deal and several key elements have not been agreed yet.

Liverpool are prepared to pay a guaranteed £100m but any add ons above that are still being negotiated.

Liverpool have made it clear they will not pay the reported £126m asking price.

Once an agreement is reached, arrangements will be put in place for a medical.

If he wants to stay in Europe then anything more than £50m would be a good fee imo.

He's really struggled with us, is on a pretty tidy salary and there are strikers like Osimhen, Gyokeres, and Sesko all reported to be available for around £60-70m.

I know we turned down more in Jan but we were looking to keep a squad together to win the title at that point.

I'm just worried Edwards is going to price him and the club out of the move, when the easier option is short term loss now but long term gain in us not having to pay his wages for another year and him possibly moving on a free

We've seen it before with the likes of Origi and Phillips

Its always been my personal opinion but I dont think sky have a clue when it comes to us. They are always way behind when stories on our targets etc are circulating. I dont think they have much of a wire into us. Probably because they are in bed with utd.

Apparently, according to some sources on social media, LFC are prepared to walk away if Leverkusen keep messing them about.

Whether we want to believe this or not is another thing.
