Arne Slot earlier this season:

"If you want to play at this club, you need to be at his [Salah] level, or you are almost useless to play at this club, we only need players at the top of their game, this is one of, if not the best club in the world to play for!"

Just seen that in his first season at feyenoord he sold/signed like 15 players

I’m a little concerned about too much change in one window.

Guess it depends on who is sold, seems like we'll be getting rid of the options he doesn't really like quansah, nunez, elliott. (aside from the fullbacks and kelleher which kinda had to happen)

Maybe diaz leaves if a good offer comes in, other than that the first 8 of the normal 11 will still be here

Not sure I agree tbh. Core of the team will still be there, with better options from the bench.

Slot basically made his mind up with Quansah during the 1st game of the season when he gave him the shepherds crook against Ipswich.

His reaction to the Ipswich game probably cost him cos every other time he came on or played he looked way too nervous and was making mistakes.

Hope he have a buyback but also that would be quite annoying if we bought him back instead of just loaning him in the first place

Sky reporting:-

Bayern eyeing swoop for Luis Diaz
Bayern Munich have added Liverpool forward Luis Diaz to their list of left-winger targets, according to Sky in Germany.

They want to sign a player in that position and have explored a deal for Diaz.

There has been no contact with Liverpool at this stage with Diaz one of a number of options Bayern are looking at.

Depends what we do with the transfer funds really.

Annoying City lost. They will get a decent enough pre season now.

Losing to Al Hilal is quite funny…

Especially considering how there was all the talk about city being back after hammering Juventus

They get an extra two weeks pre-season for not reaching the final but I’d say even that’s not enough.

Our lads were on a beach literally in May.

City have 6-weeks to rest, heal up and then come back to train for what? 3-weeks? I predict a slow start for City.

Playing these games in 37ish degrees is taxing on the body too.

We report back for preseason a week from today with the players having a full month of rest. Think we will be in very good shape for the start of the season.

Mentally and physically. I had a nearly a full month off at the back end of last year before starting a new role and the difference mentally was huge.

Like, new man, completely ready to go, almost missed work kind of thing. Wanted to get right at it.

Football is so intense when they’re playing in Europe and for their country. I’d say a full month off is almost essential to be able to be your best. Guessing a bit but it makes sense to me.

So Tom Werner has come out and stated that LFC could have as many as 1 billion fans world wide.

Is he being over enthusiastic ? Or he he not far off the truth ?

I reckon he might be about there, everywhere I go I am seeing LFC fans these days.

City going to be interesting watch this season.

On paper can't say I'm too worried over their signings so far but could be a case of them getting back to their best after an anomaly poor season.

A lot probably hinges on how Rodri comes back.

Needs someone to give him a smash early on.

None of us would've said no to Ait-Nouri if Kerkez was not available. Think Reijnders is smart signing. The type of signing we would make.

Marmoush is probably not their type of striker...and Cherki is basically a gamble for any side tbh
