Haha, the mushrooms I’ve had in my life did little for my mental sharpness!

I was exaggerating a bit but in my 20’s I used to look at people at work who wrote things down and wonder why. I used to remember absolutely everything. Now, I’m one of those people who writes things down. Time is a bastarrd.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, my recall is on a downward spiral. Add to that the tinnitus that drives me feckin insane for most of my waking hours.

Pretty sure that most of my issues are me paying the price for my burning roomfuls of candles every way possible over the years….

No need for anyone to worry though, I still curiously manage to recall every bit of shiite that some people come out with on here…..

I was reading this comment waiting to say, What nonsense are you talking about when you can perfectly recall what someone said on this site at 22:34 July 17th, 2016

It is mad though. A song will come on that I haven’t heard in years and I can sing along virtually word for word, can remember my first cars number plate ‘ONT 78X’ and stuff like that. But then sometimes I can’t remember something I read yesterday.

When I go see my dad in the states at his dementia residential, the last I was there they had a dude come in and play the guitar and sing songs. Now most people in this place don’t really talk and memory is completely gone. However when he starts playing they will all sing the songs and seem quite normal. It’s quite a site to see.

I think science has confirmed that we remember stuff better via audio than visual

Something I’ve always wished I had. It’s virtually a superpower!

The problem is as we go through our day-to-day routines, the stuff we don't need to use we lose it over time.

It's natural

Yeah, the brain processes what it thinks we need to remember, and files the rest out the way.

I think as you get older, it does things the wrong way round!

Lads, put yourself in my shoes. I have two daughters one is 20 and the other is 24.

They both have partners, and they look as though these ones are for life, but it still does not stop me from calling these boys by my daughters ex partners names, and it is a genuine mistake.

Embarrassing is not the word, I have anxiety about it all the time, it not only upsets my girls, but it upsets my wife as well. The boys just laugh it off, but it still doesn't make me feel any better.

Ill, have to give those mushrooms a whirl.

For all the posters becoming gradually mentally disabled I fully recommend certain mushrooms (and yes, even those ones have huge beneficial properties) but particularly lions mane if you’re having concentration/memory issues.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I love the TRIP drinks with magnesium and lions mane. Taste good too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I like them too.

Seriously though Lions mane is incredibly beneficial. You can buy tinctures online.

Here’s an article: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/lions-mane-mushroom#cancer

But there have recently been studies that suggest has regenerative properties too and improves cognitive function.

How are you taking it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The way everyone does on here

Do I need to spell it out?

A fair bit more to be worried about with having daughters than that coming your way Fred, trust me on that one!

“The club must act in the best interest of Newcastle, and will do so in every case.
It seems this is getting close to the end or will end very quickly”

Forest are considering sacking Nuno, apparently because of owner interference.

Talk about shooting themselves in the foot.
