Thing is I think there are enough moments of quality where if it clicks I can see us going on a really big tear, but I also think if that point happens the league will already be gone.

Need to start seeing a cohesive system soon though or Slot could start getting into some serious trouble.

Im sorry but wirtz not starting today was facking criminal. If you cant get space against utd you cant get space against anyone. This was the game to put him out there. Utds midfield 2 was casemiro and fernandes for facks sake.

Ive been at todays game, arsenal and bournemouth. I expected teething problems, I said that before a ball was kicked but this is a full blown identity crisis. There is nothing I recognise about this team, ive seen enough of them now to make that statement.

We missed some chances today but thats a really poor utd team, chances were always going to come. We never really had them by the throat at anytime. We are so passive its not true.

Never said a bad word about slot yet. But failing to play wirtz against that midfield was a shocker.

There was an interview Slot gave last year on why he never loses 2 in a row. Well you have now Arne, you’ve lost 4.

Think this period makes or breaks him as a top level manger, it’s all very well keeping a steady ship when things are going well but can he get a side turned around and winning when they look a mess.

I’m not saying he’ll be fired or anything, he’s got far too much credit in the bank. But this might show us whether we’ve got a good manager or a great manager.

Expect a lot of changes midweek. I’m guessing Slot thought going away and having a good international break would be enough to improve us for the United game, it didn’t work, now he has to make changes.

Said it after the last loss and will say it again, until we start doing the absolute basics to a decent level, then we will keep losing every game. At the moment we are a dead cert to concede two goals every single match. Today we cant even go 90 seconds at home without conceding… just frankly pathetic.

4 losses in a row and to top it off, this one at home to the worst United side in a decade, utterly miserable and embarrassing.

That's why I don't buy all the criticism being aimed at Slot.

His tactics have been odd at times but what can he do when players aren't winning their duels, aren't making simple passes, aren't scoring easy chances

He should be criticised for not playing wirtz agaisnt a 2 man midfield that included casemiro. I never even seen the team today until about 4.15 and couldnt believe he was on the bench.

And his insistence in playing salah every single game has to be be questioned now. The guy is off form? O
It happens, he'll get it back, but take him out for a few ffs.

Slot isn't playing in form players.

Chiesa is our most in form player but doesnt get a sniff and Gakpo is seriously overplayed

I don’t really understand where Slot anger or fire has gone. When we lost last year to Notts Forest, he looked fecking p*ssed off. And kept going on about it for half the season! The loss seemed to eat at him. This year, none of that. It’s odd.

The 424 system we play looks imbalanced with the current forwards. Every time we lost the ball up top, ManU were outside our box in seconds. Since our current starting forwards aren’t great pressers compared to the attackers of last season then you end up with the opposition playing through us with ease. This has been the same every game we have played and that's why we have conceded 11 goals.

I am a bit concerned that Slot feels he has to play all the attacking talent we have at once and doesn’t know his best team or formation. Last season the rotation of Gakpo and Diaz was beautifully balanced, bringing Jota or Nunez in who didn’t mind being rotated. Now with the big money spent, a few egos, Gakpo his love child and the Italian stallion not getting a look in.

Balance is such a key word in football and that is the farthest from where we are atm. Concede every game, attack looks blunt and understanding and chemistry. Midfield looks a bit lost and again a lot of options. We’ve got to somehow find a way to get the best players in their best positions, and if that means dropping Salah to maybe go with a 4-4-2 diamond then so be it.

Tbf Gakpo could, and probably should, have had a hat trick today.

I’d drop Salah and play Wirtz there for the next game.

442 diamond would actually work fairly nicely with the players we have.

Sometimes you just gotta take the point and move on. Maybe Slot got carried away with all our late winners with loads of attackers on the pitch but even Klopp or Pep would have bought on another defensive player after making it 1-1 because we were too vulnerable..
