I thought the Frankfurt game was a turn around but a poor result after it will have put a downer on it for you guys but there will be a league/cup game where you click and score a fair few, that and if you follow it up next game might be all you need for the squad confidence and kick on from there?

Football is fine margins and sometimes you have to take it on the chin when its not clicking

Definitely not a turn around. The same problems were all there it was just they weren’t playing a system to take advantage of those problems like every team in the PL are doing. They played their own game, attacking football which left loads of space and suited our all out attack game of vacating the midfield and pushing up.

Obviously we won’t see much tonight in terms of if we are changing that as it seems we’ve just thrown a team together.

I was expecting similar to be honest. Obviously there are serious problems with results in the league so this competition is far down the list of priorities at the moment. It’s a shame many of these players don’t get more game time so they are up to speed for coming in for a one off game like this. Likely to look extremely disjointed because of this.

Although not too concerned as my view is the same, we need to be concentrating firmly on the league right now.

Will be interesting to see whether Endo or Robertson plays centre back.
