Cheer up, fella. This is brilliant stuff!
What's embarrassing is listening to these BBC pundits put down the USA players as much as they do. Going on about their lack of quality but have a great work ethic blah blah blah.
Yedley and Dempsey have more control and skill than anyone England have got, oh yeah and they have a quality keeper, and they got out of a much tougher group than England did, and they are not afraid of other teams, like England demonstrate all of the time.
The only team England would beat is Korea, that is probably it.
The PL is England's Achilles Heel

this is sadly true.. plus they are proud and not scared to publicly display that they are Americans

Michael Bradley has looked very impressive in every game I've seen him
Cracking game that.
Be proud of their efforts in this tournament the US.
Now for a re-run of the 86 semi-final. Should be plenty about Maradona's performance in the build-up. That goal & all.
Friday's fixtures look like corkers!
Fek knows what the solution is but whatever we are doing, it just ain't working
--------------------
A good manager would be a good start
The squad we had was decent, better than the likes of USA, Algeria, Costa Rica, but the manager messed it up because he was clueless; the formation, tactically, the substitutions, the man management.

I know mate
I just wish our players could show this much desire and fight rather than a bunch of individuals trying to display their own feathers.
Tim Howard is a quality keeper. Not given enough time at United
Such a shame, i was buzzing for USA tonight so i don't know what i'd be like if it was England in the knockout stages
What a game that was. Breathtaking

Kinda my point
We have dropped so far behind it is quite embarrassing really. We all know we have the quality, I mean jedinak and his fellow defenders play for notts forest amd ossusuna (got relegated)....yet played great as a team, we have cahil playing cl and jags who played awesome for Everton.
Sterling, studge and gerrard have been some of the prems best, yet inferior players at the world cup make em look like mugs.
A good manager would be a good start

we have had plenty of good England managers over the last 20 years...
its the players that cant deliver
Down to grass roots coaching in England
Fellaini was, by a mile, the worst player on the pitch tonight. Really hoping Januzaj gets a chance though!
Hodgson is a good manager, give him time!!!!!
Where have I heard that before???????

That was pretty disgraceful. He said something about the US league being an early retirement for footballers.
The US came through a harder group than us, playing better football.
At this stage we could actually learn something from the yanks.

Maybe, but we also have players thinking they are better than they are and think they can win games on their own
Don't get me started on fekkin Sturridge

listen.
he said it is no longer an early retirement for footballers.
It certainly was 20 years ago
