a quite different player to the one that signed from Cardiff,

Kudos to wenger for sticking with him cause it wasn't hat long ago he was being hounded out as a bit of a scape goat

He was wonderful last season and was a real shame about his injury,

top player

Thats what class players do though GT, didnt have an amazing game but still popped up with a key moment with the goal.

Ramsey rarely owns games in the way people pretend he does. He tends to come alive in the second half as opponents are wearing and begins to keep things ticking even when our own players become tired.

During the first two thirds of a game he is defensively and offensively aware and plays an important role in the shape of our side. He is technically very skilled in tight spaces. He is less likely to play a Fabregas pass or dribble through everyone like Wilshere might, but he can do both. For the most part Ramsey is a cog in the machine, rather than a matchwinner on his own through controlling the game.

And then there's his astonishing ability to score goals, which speaks for itself. That's where he is a matchwinner.

World class player. People are always slow to catch up when a player improves - see Bale and Suarez.

Wouldn't swap him for any other midfielder in the league.

This. People like Ace face have brains that are too slow to react and are slaves to their pre concieved notions. Its obvious he is another class but it will take a while for some to fully realise.

Reading this thread shows his defensive capabilities have been underrated. He may not be a DM but does a lot to disrupt and break up the opponents attacks. He also covers the most ground of any player in most games he plays in, with Flamini the only other one who comes close.

This article would disagree with your statement.

Ok if he meant ONLY arsenal players then he is still wrong.

If you'd looked at the table on the page I linked to (1/4 way down the page, the one with the top 20 distances covered) it shows Arsenal's best placed player is Olivier Giroud in 15th position, NOT Ramsey & NOT Flamini.

So who is the tool now.

Honestly, it's kind of still you. The guy made a passing observation, as a fan watching a game, and you've either googled (really sad) or recently read an article (fairly sad, it's the DM ffs) which some nerd has roped together with a stop watch. This is a sports board, not a maths one.

I mean seriously, what was the point of 'proving' this? Grow up.

Perfect Premier League midfielder imo.

Can run all day, pass the ball well, tackle and has added goals to his game.

A very professional lad by all accounts too. Doesn't seem to court attention like a lot of young players (23 still counts as young imo) in his position have a penchant for.

Big season for him, but I've a feeling he'll shine.

^^Also, it doesn't account for the fact that Ramsey missed nearly half the season with injury, meaning the total distance covered was always likely to be lower than those playing pretty much every game.

to get a better comparison, you need it per game. I do like Giroud but there is no way he covers more ground than Ramsey per game, no way!!

I agree with this and will add that he is technically gifted as well.
He did a beautiful turn yesterday that only the very best can manage. A real pleasure to watch and I see him exceeding Cesc's level.
Nice!

Giroud covers more ground than ramsey. Please check your stats.

In the real world, ramsey is our best player and is getting on Cesc level. Agreed wouldn't swap him for any midfielder in the league.

To top it off he is a great bloke as well.

To be fair, as interesing as the article is, that's for ground covered over the course of the entire PL season and Ramsey nly played 23 out of 38 games, it's going to be skewed against him somewhat.
If you could find his average distance covered per game last season it'd probably be much more favourable.

'Alright calm down mate, he's a very good player but he's had half a good season and you're slobbering up his chocolate starfish like a stray dog on a lump of fillet steak.'

Gotta say, ACE FACE is the most disappointing poster on this site. Great early promise but hasn't lived up to it. Rambo's been 'good' since 2013, excellent since last season.
