No I think your right. Our season is over. There is no way we can come back from this. We can't even buy anyone now the windows closed.
I read that article a few minutes ago as well, it's shocking how a club of this size is so far behind on ability to negotiate transfers yet we're a commercial giant. Just shows that we're so much more of a business than a football club.

Your sarcasm has indirectly summed up what everyone is thinking. Why should we even be in a position after one game needing to bounce back from something!? This summer was where everything should have been put right and we've failed, miserably.
For me lvg's in a win win situation
If he turns it around then he says he rescued utd. His ego grows bigger.
If he fails he can come up with that he wasn't backed accordingly, or something along those lines and no one will bat an eye lid.
If we fail to make any more additions, at least another CM and a CB, we will struggle. It would be shocking how a club of our stature can not make half decent signings when it's clear we need them.
Will take 2/3 windows to sort out the mess that Moyes has left. I partially also blame Fergie for the mess. He didn't sign a decent CM and failed to replace Scholes. He also appointed Moyes, who didn't have the aura or mentality to be a Manchester United manager.
There is a lot to fix, hopefully we get a few more signings this summer, and then get top 4 this season. Then strengthen further next summer. That should be our aim now.
The most shocking bit is where the writer explains the fact that everyone at the club knew full well we had to come out this summer and get players. The clown Woodward has left it to the last 2 weeks. Expect a 20 million player costing us 40 million now.
We have a better manager, LB and CM than last year plus mata and Rooney in their best positions. We have also moved on the old guard and look to be moving on the likes of nani and Anderson. We also have 2 weeks of the window left. Yes we should have had more players in by now, and if we haven't come 1st September il Be the first to moan, but for now can we get a fookin grip people.
Regardless, that is two failed summer windows in a row. Something has to change at the club, we need to sort out the negotiation team big time. Erase the facking complacency from this club for once.
woodwards good at making money but not transfers, hes in a powerfull position though, glazers must be a bit afraid hell leave if they demote him

Sorry get a grip of what exactly? This situation has been years in the making.
We are about ten million miles away from city and Chelsea in terms of squad quality.
What should we be getting a grip of exactly?
We are well aware of the situation, the situation happens to be crap.
Will be interesting to see if anything happens in the next 2 weeks. If nothing happens, the united board on here will go mad, and rightly so.
Are we really suggesting LVG would have condoned Woodward giving smalling to arsenal I exchange for vermalean?
LVG is one of the most outspoken people in football. No way would he be taking the flack for Woodwards failings if that is how it had gone.

Don't want to sound like I'm targeting you, but the situation has hardly improved even with Rooney in his position and a lb and cm. Evra went so we needed to replace a LB, signing Herrera without a player to partner him is useless as he can't showcase his talents. And the lack of fluid quality attacking wingers is a real concern we have never played tippy tappy football especially down the middle, with no pace in the team there is no chance that style will all of a sudden start working.
Getting bored of all these articles. Wait until the window closes and then let's see where we are at.

Exactly . We are not far from crisis and that is not an exaggeration. Imagine if we were to lose away to Sunderland and then Burnley for me that would represent crisis. Why have we so many players injured. It's not just unlucky, tour schedule, over training. Two sessions a day. Shaw told he was unfit and then tries too much to get fit and pulls a hamstring. These Dutch aren't gods you know and I reserve judgement. For me Moyes was out of his depth but had no help from Woodward and the players who obviously didn't give enough respect from their performances and a few things said early on to the media. We have lost Scholes,Giggs,Evra,Rio,Vidic all at once. No planning whatsoever it seems here.
Just because the window is still open doesn't mean people shouldn't be allowed the moan. The season has already started and the team that LOST to Swansea was a bit of a joke really, United have fielded stronger squads against League 2 teams in the Carling Cup.
Anybody who is not only not moaning, but having a go at others for moaning, is quite simply demented imo.
Stretty - we are 3 signings away from a very good first 11. You are comparing our squad to 2 of the strongest in Europe at the moment.
How good would City, arsenal or Chelsea have looked if missing a CB, RB, CM and ST from their first 11?

No. Why should I stop? What good will it do to moan when the window is closed and we have no one? You know as well as I do the players we need right now are in the mould of Vidal and di Maria. Woody will parade around Rojo and maybe Blind on deadline day like he's just completed the best transfers in history. They will just be squad players and no improvement, our squad is already full with enough of those.
The bloke has been in charge a matter of weeks and you all expect the problems to be solved. At least give him until the window closes FFS. It's embarrassing listening to some our fans it really is. Been spoilt for too long.

What good will moaning do now. You think Ed and LVG are reading? At least when the window has closed you'll know what the actual situation is rather than going off your crystal ball version of events.
Tulip - read the first line of your post and ask yourself if you are exaggerating. If any team lost their first 3 matches it would be a crisis. We have a new manager, new tactics and major injuries to contend with.
What did people really expect this season?
Is Woodward not the one in charge of transfers? He's been there for more than a few weeks. I thought we had it bad with Gazidis, this fella seems like a complete amateur.
