Racist Mancs. There was an article a while back where an African United fan killed himself over United losing and someone came on questioning the IQ levels of black individuals as a result. I was the only poster to berate him out of so many and can you believe I took stick for berating him? People saw no problem with his words. The problem with this country is that the following statement:

"I don't want this country to be an Islamic country"

Will be interpreted in 2 ways.

Group 1 will see this as a racist statement.

Group 2 will see this as a legitimate point of view.

Group 1 will use the term 'Islamophobia' as if this statement were based on an irrational fear or prejudice.

On the contrary, many people have looked at Islam, they don't like or agree with it's precepts and don't want it as part of their lives. It's a rational position and not a phobia.

However, if there comes a time when 15-20% of a country are Islamic, can the Government just ignore such a big demographic?

I say no they can't.

The Muslim population of the UK is 4.4% (in England it's just over 5%).

The likelihood of the UK reaching 20% in our lifetime is incredibly small.

I'd also suggest that the only way this country could become an Islamic state is if the majority of the country were Muslim. Which isn't going to happen.

What we can say is that the birth rate of Muslims in the UK is almost double that of non-Muslims.

Having read various and conflicting reports on the future of the UK and it's Muslim population - it's clear that whilst the numbers may be different, the trend isn't and that by 2030, the Muslim population could be anything between 10-15%

Another point to be considered is what is implicit in the claim that UK will be Muslim in the foreseeable future is the number, not of Muslims, but of Muslim voters.

We know how poor the turnout is for votes in this country. This is why some are concerned.

Not that they hate their ideologies (some do) but they completely disagree with it.

This is of course, a democracy.

You're working under an assumption that all Muslims would want the UK to become an Islamic state under sharia law. I don't believe that would be the case.

I also think those projections are flawed for a variety of reasons.


I think the former archbishop of Canterbury was quite right when he said the UK is a post-Christian country. I don't foresee that changing.

Sharia Law would affect the improportinate amount of Muslims involved in child grooming, heroin importation, wholesale distribution of counterfeit goods, money laundering and VAT fraud.

Islam isn't exclusive to the middle-east, which means it isn't just imported, it is adopted as well.
