Said it time and again, they dont need to go after Ali, just milk him for 3-4 runs and over and its risk free.

Hmm they just seem intent to attack Ali, these fools will never learn.
Really need another before lunch here
97-1 - fantastic consolidation after losing Warner. Keep going lads
Australia's session
I suppose its going to take a wicket for the England fans to post back on here
Question - looking at that session, is there anything Cook could have done differently?
Or were you happy with the changes and tactics deployed?

didn't notice anything wrong tactically, just didnt create the chances. field setting didn't go defensive at any stage. Aussies batted well in fairness, on a good track

MAYBE BOUGHT PACE BACK INTO THE ATTACK AFTER THE WICKET FELL....BUT NO....NOT REALLY MUCH WRONG....ITS JUST A GOOD TRACK.
With minimal swing and decent bounce, even if it is slightly slow, this looks like a pitch that will suit the Aussies' attack better than ours. Bit frustrating that we couldn't have had a pitch closer to Cardiff, but the MCC will always do things their own way, and it might be possible we asked for a batting track with the hope of a high-scoring draw.
Can't really fault Cook's captaincy in that session, just some slightly off bowling, good batting and that one slice of luck for Rogers on a pretty tame surface that's got the Aussies in command.

Moeen has already got Smith out before and Smith has said he will continue to attack him. Was a fair shout to let him attack to try and get him out easier.
Don't think we have bowled badly. Not had much luck and Aussies have batted well. Pitch looks very good for batting. We need a good session badly now.
oooo nearly a run-out
terrible throw
Now, it's inevitable that Eng can't win this game. Go for defensive and get a draw. Don't give runs
No wickets, we are in deep trouble here
Batting pitches ruin the game and drive people away
No.
If that's true then stadiums won't be full in 4th and 5th day.
what ever score they get.. England need to get close to it.. This is a very flat wicket..
tbh i thought the first pitch was awful and we got a result after 4 days. So far it looks like the test will go the distance which is what the money men want.
