Apparently we've bid for Kane?

Spurs would be mental to sell Kane now especially with the window into its last month, even for £40m. Selling Kane now would IMO put their season in jeopardy.

Not for sale, does not want to leave, chairman will laugh at £40m, Levy dare not sell etc, will not happen

What is Spurs ambition for the season?

Have the bought for a top 4 challenge?

Are they content finishing 5th-7th?

The way Spurs fans go on about Levy, if he was so great they would be in the CL.

Thank God Ed brings in record revenues to United.

Negotiated a kit deal from £313m to £750m

Chevrolet give us an £57m a season

Aon for our kit deal give us £10m

Levy is a god, he's managed to convince spurs fans he's amazing at his job

Don't be mean to Aon – I believe they've already developed a Complex.

Reality is what is so special about Harry Kane, he hit a purple patch but then went missing for last few months of the season. Is Hernandez worth £40m when he had his 1st season at Man Utd and the answer is no even if Kane is English.

You want Falcao back?

Spurs want him to replace Kane?

Anyone?

Kane value before last season probably about £5m but now based on last season stats he is now worth £40m Football really is mad.

When Cristiano was 13 he was worth £10 grand. Amazing

No one has questioned the fee for Depay from the Dutch league, but say Kane who's done even better in one of the top leagues in the world is worth no more than £15m/£20m.

posted on 5/8/15

Depay scored 28 from the wing, not centre forward, he also cost around 25m (with add ons) not 40m, Depay is also more experienced at international level and has 2 good seasons behind him not just one

Yes, but one did it in a poor league and the other did it against big teams in a top league.

Yes and if Harry Kane was valued at 25m it would be very fair, just as if Depay was 40m + it'd be a bloody joke

Not happening

For his age, nationality (homegrown rule), potential and importance to Spurs, £40 million is a fair price in this day and age.

When you see De Bruyne might be going for £50 million it's just the times we're in. English clubs are minted and have the money to pay for players like this.

It's good for the whole English football pyramid. If Spurs get £40 million and they buy someone from say, Palace for £20 million then Palace buy someone from say, Boro for £10 million that just goes on and on and the money trickles down the league.

25m is still a hell of a lot for someone who's only had one good season in the top flight.

Still, when English players are involved, transfer fees are a joke.

Depay is far better then Kane.

Not just English players. De Bruyne will be a huge fee. James Rodriguez was overpriced. So was Di Maria. Cuadrado was overpriced, so was Danilo from Porto and Kondogbia to Inter.

Loads of non-English players are moving for huge prices.

posted on 5/8/15

So long as I don't have to pay for him, I think he will be a good signing.
Don't see it happening though.

posted on 5/8/15

Kondogbia to inter was hardly overpriced he cost about £20m

Not to mention Firmino and Benteke.

Hernandez and Kane are similar type of players.
