Just so we're clear you asked for avilable strikers off internaitonal standard and when provided with a list you rubbish them?

Is that what we're doing?

ALL will outscore Welbeck.

How many people here had heard of Gabriel or thought he was good enough to play for us before we signed him? Or Koscielny? It's the club's job to identify such players. I don't really buy the 'no players available' rubbish. There is plenty of talent out there who can easily make the step up at Arsenal. Sturridge was a 10 goal-a-season player before Liverpool signed him, yet he banged in 25 in his first full season. There's so much CF talent out there that could better fit our style of play than Giroud, and they don't have to be £80m signings playing at existing big clubs. You only have to look at Wenger's past CF successes to see this.

Digby doesn't think the likes of Bacca, Lacazette, Martinez and Cavani would improve the Arsenal squad!

you provided a list of players who weren't available, or signed for someone else, the most available was doumbia who went back to cska on loan,

Charlie Austin...fox in the box type of Player that would suit Arsenals type of play.

Scored goals in the prem with a truly awful QPR side

Digby,

Players were not available because interested parties already signed them...Wenger was piiisshing about somewhere at that time back in May-June-July. Could have easily spotted some talent rather than waiting and banking on Benzema or Cavani till last min.

How can you justify and support this?

'Availability' is just a phoney excuse provided by Wenger because he still can't leave behind his flea market mentality despite managing one of the richest clubs in the world, in by far the richest league in the world. Every player is available for the right price. But he would rather seek out 'value' than pay what's necessary for the couple of players he needs to win stuff (ironic as winning stuff would actually help make back the initial outlay).

the others may add depth but people dont want that, they want someone who could replace giroud and be our starter week in week out

Oh but it makes all the difference as it shows you r refusal to get out of your narrow minded view where every failure is because of arrogance. You have a right to be disappointed but not to be unreasonable. I have provided the example of Utd to show that perhaps the market might have been a bit difficult to get upgrades but it went over your head or you simply chose to ignore because it didn't fit into your perception. Frankly now that I think about it this is just a colossal waste of time.

Just. Wow.

i'm not supporting it at all, peoples first assumption on here is if you dont show faux outrage that you support wenger

i'm just saying not every player in europe is an instant improvement and available.

we did wait too long, we needed a dm and this is what shall hurt us more, letting in stupid goals has been our problem for the last few years, to win the league you need to be solid out the back, not just hope you can outscore the other teams, it doesnt work anymore as so many teams will settle for a draw or a scrappy 1-0 win against the top 4
