I banned Soccer AM in my house when they began referring to us as Tottingham. I emailed them to say it was fun for a while (thanks Ossie) but it is now used in a derogatory manner imo. They didn't reply - so much for being a paying customer. Sky Sports and the tedious movie channels are next...
Also newWayne, you are now known as Yawnited.
I have no problem with us being known as Spurs, it's been that way since I was a kid and probably well before that.
After all...Come on you Spurs has never been an issue has it?

1 in last 4.
2 in last 5.
0 conceeded in last 4, top of Group B.
Not as annoying as THE Arsenal.
Who else has THE as a prefix to their actual name?
The Mighty Tottenham Hotspur.
Always refer to myself as a 'Tottenham' fan not a 'Spurs' fan
I always refer myself to being a Tottenham fan, but always say I am going down to see Spurs play. They have been known by both names since they were founded I believe.

Maybe because we have a unique name then we are being referred to in the media in a unique way. Why not just embrace it for that reason?
You can stick your uniteds, citys, rovers and towns. There will always only ever be ONE Hotspur!
