Apologies if this is reductive or has been done before but what are peoples’ predictions for Ahsoka rating out of ten-wise?

I’m gonna go 5/10. Like most of the series of late, there will be some moment of absolute greatness that fans will get so excited by but the majority will be ok action and storylines. There won’t be enough 8/10 or 9/10 moments and there should be.

I bet I’ll rate it as I did Kenobi.

If I were in charge, I’d go back to the clone wars and do a massive live action series of that with the prequel cast and everything. Keep it loyal, keep it real and let us all fangirl over the majority of episodes. And give us a proper grievous again.

But seriously, Filoni has to hit this out the park..

I'm thinking probably about an 8 for Clone Wars/Rebels watchers, probably less for those who aren't familiar with the characters. I know they've not done great lately but I can't imagine Filoni taking Ahsoka lightly and not keeping the lore tight.

My rating prediction for the show is 7-7.5/10.

Anything below a 7 would be a failure, in my opinion. I don't expect the writing to be as good as Andor or as Mando season 2 but I'll be content with anything better than Obi Wan or Mando season 3.

As far as what the future holds, I've alluded to this countless times but they need to get back into the past and explore the old republic. There are so many untold stories that could be portrayed with the budget Disney have and you get the added benefit of having new characters and new cast. It's also a time period in SW where you had large scale jedi vs sith battles, so for the casual fan, it's highly likely to bring them back into the SW fold.

I’m going for an optimistic 8/10 for the series. Not Mando2 or Andor levels but bronze medal.

I’m concerned/irritated at the prospect of Sabine being made a jedi which the trailers have strongly hinted at. But the early reviews I’ve read all seem to think that Sabine is the standout character so maybe it’ll work out. Maybe.

Only watched the 1st episode......I really don't like it

Oh and you 100% need to watch Rebels, I will probably rewatch the final season again.

Also I think Episode 1 has forever ruined light sabre fights - they set the bar so high

Honestly I was struggling other than for the Rebels nostalgia - maybe 2 is better, but I did read someone use the wooden and cardboard (which I thought sounded super harsh at the time) which unfortunately I am agreeing with atm. Thought the 2 leads were super flat - like I know it's I am guessing a few years after Rebels but really seemed to be lacking any sort of chemistry or conviction in comparison with the cartoon.

Rebels nostalgia is the stuff I liked most, one bit in particular in E2. But without going into details I mostly agree so far. I think it's at the point where it could be good, but I said that after Obi Wan E2 and they just leaned into the stuff that made no sense.

Seeing mostly positive stuff on Reddit though

Well that’s disappointing. In fairness the SW saga is littered with wooden acting performances but the chemistry between characters, that’s always been there.

It’s amazing how quickly excitement can become slight trepidation

fack that I'm not binging rebels now
