Just read the blob from the IGN review and I think perfectly sums it up for me:

"EPISODES 1 & 2 REVIEW Ahsoka has the potential to explore the more cosmic and mystical aspects of the Star Wars universe, but the first two episodes feel flat at times as characters have to spend too much time catching up viewers who didn't watch Star Wars Rebels. The action and visuals are spectacular, but the new actors are too stiff in their portrayal of the wonderful cast of characters."

Yup, pretty bang on.
I mean I suppose the events of season 4 would leave them some type of way… but as said, let’s see how it pans out.
But I remember saying the same things for Kenobi and Mando S3, so… we’ve been burned many times, so now we proceed with caution.

Trailer looked good… I swear, if he out does Star Wars on their own patch, it’s gonna be so embarrassing.
And you know what Kathy Kennedy will do next is hire Zack to direct a SW Film.

Effects on point. Nothing dodgy.
Music, some good feels, and some not.
World building, Interesting new characters.
Some nice call backs to CW

Cons - Even as a fan of Rebels, I’m a bit lost at what’s happened to Ghost crew from season 4 to now..
It’s been speculated on here that Sabine would train as a Jedi, which confuses me. How is this happening.
Anyone can become Jedi now?!
Ain’t she too old?

Yeh I hope so…there’s defo more going for this show, than what’s come before, but I find myself being very critical now, cos we’ve been burned before, and I don’t want to go through that hell again.
And well, you’ll see, that just makes you say ‘oh no..why?’
And I think I have a logical reason, why that ‘event’ happened.

With that being said, time for a rewatch..

I think after the underwhelming performances of Mando season 3 and Obi Wan, it's prudent to go in with reservations. This is SW, so there will always be those moments where you fanboy out but if something isn't good enough, it needs to be stated, otherwise they'll keep delivering the same sub par shows.

Time for Ahsoka episode 1
