That would be so awesome! They should totally do it!
I think it will kill the CL and the prem both
I think it sounds really cool. Like all of the big clubs in an elite league.

i would stop watching football if this happened.
the game would become hollow and soulless
I like the fact that mid table fodder spurs and Leicester can actually have a pop at the title
I like the drama, it be boring otherwise
Elitism and money is killing the game
Breaking away from the CL would indicate all these clubs would still be involved in the PL.
Depends how its done but if its a league basis it will get boring very quickly.
I think it'd put a cloud over a Leicester/Spurs league win.
(Clearly nothing would happen for a couple of years, but....)
Also, to be honest, it's only a matter of time before this happens I'd have thought.
Sensationalist journalism
An Arsenal spokesperson said: "Not Arsenal, nor any clubs at the meeting, are seeking changes to the Premier League and European landscape and no conversations surrounding displacing the Premier League or starting a European Super League took place.
"Discussions were primarily around the ICC and formats of European competitions that would compliment the existing Premier League."
Arsenal would some how still finish 4th every season

Because it doesn't make sense.
Maybe reading through it a couple more times wouldn't have made any difference then.
This article sheds more light on it and perhaps what it's true intentions are. It makes sense as just a day or two ago it was announced Chelsea would be playing Liverpool in the states on July 27th (I think it was) Venue to be decided.
Seems to be the usual media manipulation of a few basic facts.
Extract:
Ross' organisation is behind the International Champions Cup (ICC), a tournament that sees top sides from around the world take each other on in pre-season, and it is understood the meeting was primarily around it.

Sorry Adam the interview, I had not seen your post but totally agree.
It never amazes me how quickly people forget the levels the media will stoop to for a headline. If they took the time to read the stories behind the headlines they would see in most case there is very little substantial detail to support the story.
