My gosh you Scousers are deluded?

Suarez would get into any team in the world? Yes I am sure Ronaldo and Messi are quaking in fear of their positions being taken

Do you Scousers actually realise how stupid and myopic you really are? Suarez top 5 players in the world?

- Xavi
- Iniesta
- Messi
- Ronaldo
- Neymar
- Silva
- Fabregas
- Busquets
- Pique
- Ashley Cole
- Rooney
- Nani
- Drogba
- Torres
- Yaya Toure
- Dzeko
- RVP
- Nasri
- Thiago Silva
- Alonso
- Modric
- Hazard
- M'Vila

I guess they will all miss out as Gerrard, Carragher, Henderson and Adam join Suarez on that list of top 5 players in the world

""to suggest he is better than Rooney,Xavi and iniesta suggests that it's you who actually believes this year is your year"

No it just suggests that I obviously know a lot more about football than you."

Better than two of the best players in the world in the best team in the world? Seriously? I know they play completely different roles, but seriously?

Oh dear. Suarez may be good, but he's certainly not good enough to be bracketed in with the likes of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta just yet. Drogba, on form (say 18-24 months ago) was the best striker in the world. Suarez has a lot to do before he can be the best in his position, let alone one of the best players in the world.

Still can't decide which of these players is the more over-rated

Bale has been hyped up to ridiculous proportions for 2 good games against a Rafa Benitez plagued Inter side

Suarez looks lively and can do some nice skills but my god the rate the scousers bleated on about him you'd have thought he put Henry and Eto'o to shame

(although better than Messi is an accolade
reserved to Joe Cole )

It doesn;t even matter because both players will be gone in 12 months time anyway

He's without doubt world class and your saying he isn't in the top 5 in the world just showsw you are a fool.

Whatever happens with this thread all the deluded glory supporting Mickey Mousers are going to say Suarez is world class, having sold all their better players they are desperate to have a player to idolise, and being the best of a very average crop.... Suarez fits the bill.

Loving all the saddo's on here trying to convince themselves that Suarez 'is't all that' and then trying to convince us that he'll be gone in 12 months ( though why he'll be gone in 12 months if he is so average nobody has managed to explain yet.)

The more you LFC obsessed muppets try to put him down the more you show how important he is.

Keep it up kids.

Keep what up?

Suarez is technically gifted and is a good player, but the hype Liverpool fans give him is ridiculous. He's not anywhere near as good as he is made out to be.

I have said many times before that one season doesn't give a player any justice and isn't a fair reflection of their ability until they've performed consistently for a minimum of two seasons.

Suarez has had a great start to the campaign, but there's still a long way to go. And without Miereles, it will make life even harder for you.

In the Premier League, the strikers that are better than him are van Persie, Drogba, Rooney, Dzeko, Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, if he curbed his temper and Torres (when he's on form).

The term world class gets thrown around a lot and to be honest, I don't think he'd make it at a team like Barcelona or Madrid.

That's not to say he hasn't got the potential to be world class, but for the time being, he's just a good player in the Premier League and nothing more.

To be honest the way to cancel Suarez out the game is to cut off the suppliers - the players who feed him through on goal. The defenders need to be able to read the game well and know when to go in for a challenge and keep their shape. Also, if you have a high line, you need to press the midfield and keep play compact. The central midfielders need to double up on the opposition's dictators of play, but not commit themselves too far forward so that there's space being exploited.

Suarez can dribble at players with flair and pace and also makes clever runs beyond the markers. He also has the individual bit of class where he nutmegs and pannas it in acute areas, to where you think: blimey, how did he do that?

But the main thing is to pressurise and be combative in midfield to close the 'suppliers' down so that the key strikers don't get much service.

Players fail to do this quite frequently and it allows Suarez to skip past players and score past them.

We had him quiet at The Emirates last season, but this season he made a big impact. He does have some very off days where he's probably better off not playing at all, but he's still a good player.

Not world class; not near world class yet, but a good player nonetheless.

The hype surrounding luis Suarez is created by him winning the outstanding player award at a tournament this summer which his country won !
He was outstanding for Ajax and 2 years running got the most assists and most goals, and captained his club at 21!
Nevermind though because those awards are false aren't they? It's not like he/they were up against quality opposition is it???
Brazil Argentina
Messi Tevez

Like I said hours previously, 'world class' is an opinion not a fact, but the fact is we think he is pretty good!
