Tommo he was under contract. But I know they don't mean a thing.
It was a too good a price to turn down, it's not a replacement that's required it's a ball winner who can pass to the likes of Bryson & Hughes.
Apparently you've only scored 1 goal in 6 games!
You need someone like Chris Martin.

Jorvik...we are not playing 3 in midfield. Pearson is playing 2 and wants to play 2.
Street,
I think it's great you have had such a good start. All it took is for Fawazi to stop interfering and keep out of the way. The danger is that, the success you are enjoying will re-kindle his interest. Then you'll be in trouble.

Like you are at the moment you mean rammy?
They're not in trouble. Pearson is doing a great job.
Keogh is captain.
Sold their top striker.
Sold their best midfielder
Bradley Johnson

He's doing great.
Oh I almost missed out.
1 goal in 6 games scored
Turn off the predictive text Ramdini. It obviously isn't working as when you type Strett it should come up with idiot not Street.
I missed the bar codes game. Did we look any better? Did we create any chances?
I have to say I have been less than impressed by Nigel Pearson. He has succeeded in making a good Championship side which played good football into a poor one which doesn't. This isn't like the days of Nigel Clough who inherited a poor squad and had no money. It shouldn't take a whole season to improve a decent side. It only took him a week to make a worse team though.
I am also sick of the apologists for Pearson saying give him time. Time for what, we have been close to promotion in two of the last seasons and challenged in the last three, so how long do we have to wait with his boring awful brand of football.
Stop press:
Johnny Russel out tomorrow (calf).
Stuart Attwell is the ref!!!!!
I think we should give Pearson a bit of time.
I agree vidal but when you think that Clement was sacked with the club in 5th position and we played far better football under Wassall after the same number of games in charge, Pearson's performance so far has been pathetic. He does shout a lot and look angry which apparently makes some fans think he is doing a good job.
But Pearson is actually trying to do some managing.
I think Wassall basically let the players do what they wanted and that is not sustainable.
It's a bit tougher when your brief extends further than just keep things ticking over and don't upset anybody.
If Pearson is trying to do some managing I suggest he stops trying. He could always use the excuse that he has lost his leading scorer through injury.
I prefer a manager who creates a winning and entertaining side rather than one who upsets people but I am perhaps in the minority of fans for wanting that.
Clough's football was some of the worst I have ever seen. Clearly many thought the same as our gates were @ 8000 lower.
Hang on Spart....You started by asking how the game had gone as you had done a 666, then started telling us that there has been no improvement under Pearson.
Have a look at the highlights. I'm not saying Pearson has got it spot on yet, but I thought there was an improvement on previous games. Definitely one step forward on Saturday evening, although if you do watch the highlights the second goal was one of Keogh’s finest mistakes to date. 666 must still be pi**ing himself.
You'ld be like Fatwaz if you were chairman Spart, changing managers 3 times a season
We'd gone 3 at the back ZZH, think that was the main reason?...
Not at all. I always believe in giving the manager a chance but from the first league game this season we have been hopeless. I don't know where you work Baz, but if your company was doing quite well and they brought in a new manager who proceeded to spend lots of money and the company performance deteriorated how long would that manager last.
You can use that idiot face palm smiley all you like but it doesn't change that after 7 games we have scored one goal. We should be seeing some improvement on the earler performances by now. Even Clement achieved that.
Unfortunately one of the three was Keogh!

I can't recall going 7 games and only one goal under Clough. I can also remember some decent performances from a team which cost a pittance compared to the present team. Unless there is some improvement I can see gates falling to a far lower level next season.
In my work, and most logical people's, that manager- with a proven track record - would be given more than 9 hours (six games) which is roughly 1 day!!!
As has been said, the performance did improve on Sat. Newcastle were simply too good.
We will see tomorrow if there is some improvement. Ipswich seems to be a significant fixture for us. We disposed Paul Jewell after Ipswich a few seasons back, our form suddenly improved in the second half of the game three seasons ago and we lost Thorne last season which lead to the 3 0 defeat to Hull. Hoping for a sparkling display of attacking football and a few goals.
