any team , when they have the wind in their sails theres not alot you can do

To be fair, Atletico have kept 140 clean sheets in 265 games under Simeone.

Gamboa was rotten. Athletico are a tough tough team. Hard as nails, we could have done with being a bit more like that last night (no not kicking and fouling) just being a bit smarter in defence and a bit more physical.

But i dont think any of them acheive the same standard as Messi and Neymar when in form

and thats without factoring in the other players in the team

See if we had been in the CL group stages for the past 2-3 years and this happened then I probably would be annoyed and embarrassed.

Right now we are a team competing with the likes of Hapoel, Malmo, Maribor just to get to the groups.

Good use of the finances from the first year should see us there again next year where I'd expect us to have learned from the previous year. The same again in two years but that time I'd be looking for us to make a mark.

Even just going back to our 1-1 draw in Barca is 12 years ago and although they could outspend us then it wasn't quite to the vast gulf it is now.
