Brilliant games heed. Went to all of them. Was in the main Ibrox stand for the 4-4 game when they used to give us some of that part of the ground.

In the jungle for the 4-2 (BBC lost the highlights) and in the uncovered away end for the 5-0 and only went because it was the last game. Hearts beating Dundee was a stick on.

Or so everyone thought.

Aye, .Ginger its these type of games that make a Celtic fan for life. Unbridled joy for us fans and the prospect of more to come with Brendan at the helm

Some day that was at Love Street. Wasn't planning on going until mid morning. Then took a bit of a strange notion and started thinking we could do it and what a day it would be if we did.
Went down to Love Street, bought a couple of main stand tickets from a booth outside the ground.
One of my best days ever as a Celtic supporter.

R'n'r - great OP and thread, mate - take 5

The only problem with the OP is that I find myself changing my mind about at least half of the answers

I think there have been so many fantastic players who have worn the hoops that it is very difficult to pick a favourite for many of the questions. We have been and are blessed HH

agreed mate. Only one I'm 100% sure of is Danny McGrain.

I've just spoke to my dad and told him about this thread, apparently he took me and my brothers to a few games in the 70's and is pretty ticked off I cant remember...

This is the Dafty that goes for a handful of pints on a Friday with his pals and can't remember where he parks his car most Saturday morning's.

Aye Mags, Danny was the best full back we've ever had I met him last year in the CP car park and had a brief chat with him. Very humble and nice guy too

Agreed heed....still haven't seen better. What would he be worth today?

Mind watching McGrain and he came out of some bloody hard tackles with his leg vibrating like a tuning fork

Was at the game he got sent off in too but can't remember who it was against.

Midfielder but was Lennon so in that respect a modest return

And to think that Danny was and is a diabetic

Great to see him as a club ambassador now

Danny was a servant of longitude – nigh on 2 decades.

Got a bit durty in his last few years as he slowed down.

I’ve seen him THREE [ 3 ] times buying a chicken in Sainsbury’s.

Agree with Steve.

Cracking winter feelgood thread.

Still trying to backread the posts.

Like others I keep changing my mind.

Bobby Murdoch was a midfield powerhouse with the heart of ten men.

Poncy and fancy eurostars shaat it when the even caught sight of him.

Could bring tears to yer eyes thinking back to the grandeur of Scottish

footballing craftsmen.

Giants of Celtic, Gers, Jambos, Coagies, Arabs, Hobos, Sheep, Pars etc.

They would grace any overhyped EPL team these days.

I missed out Killie cos I fvkin hate them

Curly.

Coagie is the term of abuse given out to aficionados of Dundee FC.

Usually from their fellow inbreeding neighbours.

Roughly translates as ‘coarse and unwashed’.

Could have been Sellick if they were 60 miles further west.
