----------------------------------------------------------------------
Corbyn is the antithesis of Blair. I understand your hate for Tony, but given is everything he wasn't. Vote Labour.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
given? I meant to say Corbyn obviously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're right there. Blair was a fantastic and credible politician and prime minister.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Presiding over a deregulated banking system that led to crash of 2008.
A disastrous and illegal war in Iraq costing the lives of hundreds of thousands, displacing many more, and helping to create the situation we see today in the middle-east.
Introducing PFI into our public services resulting in private companies milking the system to fatten up their own pocket.
Increasing voter apathy by centralising decision-making and along with Alastair Campbell, creating a political environment where nobody believed a word any politician said.
A disastrous war in Afghanistan.
Cosying up to Saudi dictators.
Attacking our civil liberties.
Overseeing a grotesque increase in inequality.
Yes, some leader.
Lambeau - If you mean by that that the Lib Dems won't get any value from your vote, I disagree. For instance, whatever you think about UKIP or the referendum, they only managed to get 1 MP, but without them and without people voting for them, the referendum wouldn't have happened. Particularly if you're in a safe seat, vote for what you believe and put some pressure on the government to realise that there are opposite views out there.
Yes, some leader.

And yet Theresa May is more credible?
-
Of course she is. She has the backing of her party and is therefore in a better position to ensure an effective policy making government.
That's not even in question, or shouldn't be if you can see past partisan bias.
I'm not asking anyone to like her policies. There are some I dislike.
A Tory government is the only option for effective government at the moment. That is the sad but unavoidable truth of the matter.
There's no point arguing for Corbyn like he has a hope of winning the election with enough of a majority to form a government.
Likelihood is that Labour lose seats in close majority brexit constituencies.
No point letting partisan bias get in the way of the facts.
I'm resigned to a Tory government.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And it doesn't matter if those policies are horrific?
Don't be another sheep who believes this Tory propaganda about "strong and stable leadership."
The last few years have been anything but stable. If the Tories win the election that will all but guarantee Britain's exit from the single market and Scotland's exit from Britian.
Theresa May is not strong nor is she a leader. She is just another puppet of Murdoch and the rich Tory party donors, and looks increasingly like becoming a puppet of Trump.
Having good posture and a wealth of media-training does not mean you are a leader. It means you are good at appearing to be a leader to voters.
What actually takes guts is to stand up to people like Murdoch and the City.
I can't stand the SNP, but I have to admit they provide an effective opposition in Westminster at PMQs.

I voted in the last article, but I doubt I'll remember every week so I'm leaving it at this.
I'll be voting Conservative and I very much doubt anything will happen to make me change my mind. Not because I'm wedded to some ideology of the rich getting richer, but because I believe them to be competent. (I say competent - technically Nicky Morgan is my MP so I'll be holding my nose in the process.)
I won't be voting Labour because they'd happily bankrupt the country without even realising they were doing it - and Corbyn quicker than most.
I won't be voting Liberal Democrat, although I still think they got a bad rap at the last election after doing a broadly good job. (IMO.)
I won't be voting UKIP, who have now served their purpose and can kindly do one as their remnants turn into the new BNP.
I won't be voting Green, despite rating environmental concerns quite high, since their faux moral high ground is nauseating and they'd blindly bankrupt the country just like Corbyn.
If that sounds uninspiring, indeed it is. But that's kind of the point. Competence and sense are not inspiring concepts. But they do keep the country and economy ticking as best it can.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What bankrupted the country last time was the economic crash which caused by right-wing economic policy of de-regulating the banks. Do you know who called for even more de-regulation before the crash?
The Tories.
Labour's plans are to borrow and invest. And the way economics works is when you invest, you get more back, and you can pay off the money you borrowed. An economy built on cuts is not sustainable.
Did you know that the Tories have borrowed more in 7 years than Labour did in 13?
Did you also know that they've moved the goalposts for when they are going to cut the deficit twice already?
Did you know that they have added more to the national debt than all Labour governments in history combined?
The idea that the Tories are the party of economic competence is absurd.
Food for thought.
