Seriously though Arsenal had to sell off a load of their players to fund the stadium move (which was cheaper if I'm correct) and they were a much bigger club at the time. Spurs aren't exactly a money making machine, which means you will have to sell players. And of course Levy is going to say you don't need to sell, he wants to drive up the price.

Most of the stadium will be paid through an as yet to be announced stadium naming sponsorship deal.

I fully expect Levy to negotiate an eye watering deal.

He is in a great position to negotiate, CL club, NFL tie up, plenty of young British players and emerging superstars, state of art training facilities etc etc.

But thanks for your concern.

I'm not concerned in the slightest. I just think you will have to sell off a few players, not an Alli or a Kane. But I think a player like Dier or Walker could leave for a good price.

Well your opinion isn't based off any real fact

We won`t be selling Dier, he is a key squad member, able to play in a variety of positions and still improving, he is also best mates with Dele.

Also, why would any emerging player want to go and play for that mug Moanrinho? The only reason to go to United these days is for the money, in which case they would be nothing but mercenaries and well rid of anyway.

I honestly can't believe people will consider Dier for United, seriously is that how low the bar has been set? He is not even the best in any of the positions he plays at spurs. How on earth do we expect to rub shoulders with Europe's elite when we settle for such mediocrity. Dembele and Winyama don't even get mentioned and they are several classes above Dier.

Now now don't get all angry. Money could be a big factor and trophies of course

I rate him, if he's for sale, and not a ridiculous price, I would like to see us in for him.

Personally, don't want him. He looks for Spurs, seems perfect for the system they have there. I don't think he'd suit us. I also think we do need to aim for a higher calibre of players to improve the first 11. I don't think he is a level above what we currently have.

Would be such an underwhelming transfer. Better value elsewhere. He's not even that good either.

You clearly know nothing!

No. Don't want another overated English hype machine. Let's buy someone who'd improve us.

Isn't it Walker who is getting all the "transfer gossip"?
So Pochettino is supposed to be looking at Adam Smith at Bournemouth as a replacement.

So now its Dier who's moving on too??
Why? Isn't Levy paying him enough?
I do not see Dier as a new Carrick, but he does play a useful role in the middle as defensive Mid, and gives the club some stick.
Personally I would rather we keep both players, Walker and Dier, and go looking to improve rather than replace.
Sissoko hasn't worked out, neither has Janssen.
And the squad is way too small for a campaign that includes the European Chumpion League next season.
I dont believe in paying players the sort of funny money Pogba is getting. But Levy is going to have to rethink his financial approach to running Tottenham Hotspur. The club is going UP!!

I think it will more or less be the bit part players that Pochettino ends up selling really. Players like Mason and Carroll. They don't drive up cash individually, however when you add up the cash Spurs got for players like Mason, Carroll, Bentaleb etc, we are talking nearly £40m there. I'm sure there will be other players like Onomah potentially a youngster that will end up in the Premier League that they will sell for £10m as well.

Value would be an issue if we were any other club, but Ed doesn't seem to be interested in the word.

We should be going after Verratti and/or Kroos if money is no object. Break the world record again if needs be.
