I’m surprised they’ve had that many shots in the box. They seem to shoot from outside the box a lot. Scored some quality goals as a result.

I’m surprised we’ve not taken more shots from outside the box actually. We’ve had players on the pitch with ability from range. Plus you can get flukey rebounds as well.

Yeah it seemed a lot. Maybe take that number with a pinch of salt as I saw it on Twitter from somebody's personal account although they are a Denmark fan.

I'll do a little digging to see if I can confirm it.

They’ve taken a lot of good shots outside the box as well though. That just outside the box in the width of the 6th yard box is a good area.

The secret to defending against Denmark is to allow them into the box so they don’t shoot from distance.

Locatelli should've started.

Italy's midfield is better balanced with him in it than it is with both Verratti and Jorginho playing.

yer, Verratti n Jorginho play to slow n aloud Austria too close us down.

need 2b more direct with Locatelli n Chiesa hopefully play v next team.

Yeah will need more protection against Portugal or Belgium. Austria didn’t have the quality or pace to really hurt Italy, but despite that they did a really good job of getting it into dangerous positions in the final third.

Though you’d expect Italy to approach the game differently against better opponents as well.

Perisic is so good for Croatia

The big question for Spain’s hopes is who Croatia’s Dubravka might be.

Italy were grate!
not really as Austria were grate n we were to slow in midfield due too there press.
Still Italy created more chances in the game than England did in all 3 of there grupp games.

I love the Dutch collapsing in the knock outs when they’ve been good in the group stages.

They weren’t up to much in the first half either.

Me too. Never liked the Dutch national team 👍

I do actually like the Dutch national team. But it’s funny how often they flop after looking good in the group.
