I want to see a performance like the 2nd half on Saturday, keep playing like that and we'll do OK.

So, our 10th game of the league campaign and if we can sneak a win then we will have 15pts

Keep that up for the rest of the season and we are on are on for a comfortable 65+ points, which I think are signs of progress.

Particularly when you consider the teams we have faced during our first 10 games

I haven't watched the hilights yet, had a busy weekend.

Good thread as always RFB

If. IF we beat Fulham, that's 5 wins - 5 loses. Playing 3 of the top 6 and 3 of the bottom 6. Bang average , which isn't too shabby.

I don't think we can leave murphy out just for his uncanny ability to score from his first real attempt. But agree about darikwa, Eric, and Vaughan. Etc.

From what I have just seen Smith was at fault for not positioning the wall correctly for their second goal. I expect he isn't used to players bending the ball like that.

We look soft in midfield.

Difficult to call this one, but applying a simple bit of maths and looking at the average of the results over the last 6 games between the two clubs, I'm going for:

Nottingham Forest 2.667 - Fulham 1.833

Feels like an important game this one. Win it and we keep up our mid table form. Lose it and we're in a bit of trouble given we've lost a lot of games recently. If we start regularly losing our home games then we're in the sheet.

Such a shame that we lost Federici because both Smith and Henderson have issues. Smith needs some time off but Henderson is rusty and needs to play himself into form which isn't ideal with out shaky defence.

Get down to the City Ground tomorrow everybody; the season is about to catch fire.

Fulham will be handsomely brushed aside; and on saturday our old warrior foes from the steel city will be put to the sword in barnstorming style; and the Fickle Forest Fans will once again be claiming their team will win the league by a record margin and that manager Warburton should be granted an Earldom

Joking aside, we will batter someone soon. Not saying it will be tonight, mind.
The way we play it is essential we have confidence; both at the back and in midfield.
A comfortable win will give them that confidence.

PMA Strett, PMA.

It will be tonight. Put next week's housekeeping on it.

I think it will be a cracking game tonight. I think both will go toe to toe without much consideration of trying to cancel each other out. I foresee an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Darikwa has the same attacking tendencies as Perreira last season. Perhaps not as gung ho but he does leave space to be exploited.

Mills was reckless charging into midfield before the first goal leaving the space that Adomah exploited expertly. I don't think the system suits him and I don't rate him as captain. Vaughan is the natural leader, but, as stated, is clearly struggling for fitness. The team need a more constructive influence as I sense that Mills is all too ready to call others out on errors that he is involved in!

Although the last time I remember Forest playing Fulham at home in midweek it ended 5-3 to the Reds. Even McCormack looked like a player that evening...

Should be a good game tonight, but I am not sure it will be toe to toe; I expect it to be more tactical.

Saturday will be different, apparently Sheff U were all guns blazing on Sunday and they will be the same against us.

Tonight will be one for the purist. For a couple of seasons now Fulham seem to have been developing a good technical, passing type of game.

I wonder if MacDonald will play tonight; it will be interesting to see him; I don't think we have given up on trying to sign him at some stage. Could he be a replacement for David Vaughan in the not too distant future?

Not for £6m or whatever Fulham wanted he won't!

Hey Admin can we go live please?

He may be reasonably priced should Fulham not be in a challenging position in Jan/next summer? Problem is, I can't really imagine Forest will be either.

If we are going to get a comfortable win may I suggest we play a formation of 6-8-4 👍🏻

McKay came off at Villa so guess he must have a knock.

Rest for Brereton, which I am fine with

And no place for Hobbs on the bench, prefers no CB cover to giving him a shirt!

Afternoon all!

Tough fixture, and fairly important as fixtures go in a season when the target is average. Maybe even if it's just to ease the worries of an uneased section of the fan base .

I'll take a draw now but doubt we'll draw for a loooong time.

It's gonna be 2-1 to someone

COYRs!

What even is that formation?

352? Manc at CB, wingbacks, cumming up with murphy?
451? Man at DCM, Osborn at LW?
442? With Cummings up front? Darikwa on wing?
433?
5-4-1?
10-1?

posted on 26/9/17

I think maybe 3-5-2 with Darikwa and Traore as wing backs.

Shame that McKay doesn't start but maybe with two upfront we cant accommodate him and Dowell.
