Rishi Sunak announces that the National Insurance threshold will rise by £3,000 to the income tax threshold of £12,500

Fuel duty cut 5p for 12months
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the energy price rises, they will still be making 2p more per litre in VAT, even with that reduction.
Strong “devil will be in the details” vibes here. Will be interesting to see in a few days time how this is reported.
No VAT on solar panels is good but would be better to allow consumers to sell their solar energy back to the grid again

This £3k NI rise doesn’t come into affect until July, so for the next 3 months you’ll still be paying the tax rise.

This.. even if it's in the form of "credits" back on to your energy bill rather than actual money.
Good VAT cut although as always they are just relying on private finance to get the job done.. about to be boomtime in renewable heating systems though.
