There is a conspiracy theory that suggests that conspiracy theories are intentionally cooked up to distract from and cover up the actual conspiracy theories. We rarely ever know about the real conspiracies.

That's one conspiracy theory I would have time for

Well when you have Musk hobnobbing with the likes of Murdoch and Jared Kushner you don't really need to look much further for people looking to distort the world and communications to their view

Four leading London Labour MPs are calling on Sadiq Khan to backtrack on his plans to extend the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) from August 29, LBC can reveal.
Labour MPs Seema Malhotra, Jon Cruddas, Siobhain McDonagh and Abena Oppong-Asare have told LBC they have significant concerns regarding the scheme’s expansion.

Yeah, but seeing Mush and Murdoch together should make people afraid.

Apparently almost all the major media in the world is owned by about 6 people/entities. I don't know what we think will happen. We're gonna pay dearly for allowing that. Already are.

What’s positive about it? Ripping people off who have older cars? All for a negligible change in air quality in the outer London locations?

I’m disappointed that more boroughs aren’t opposing it tbh. It’s a complete cash cow scam, nothing more.

Was reading today that London one of the worst cities in the world for getting around by car. Even with ULEZ (?) it takes longer to go 10km in London than any other city in the world.

So whilst local and nationwide vigils are being held for trans girl Brianna Ghey, stabbed and left to die alone in a park in what police are saying they are investigating as a potential hate crime, the editors of the Mail decide to go to press with a front page which cries ‘Trans clinic scandal shows what happens when good people are branded bigots for speaking out.’

Awareness 0/10.
Responsibility 0/10.

Yeah, it's noticeable when you go to any other major city in Europe that its easier to get round by car.

Mate it’s completely daft. It’s not reducing traffic, it has improved the air quality I think in the very central condensed areas but I bet most of that is due to EVs and now he wants to expand it to all of London.

Your average worker who drives to work, drives to the supermarkets? Drives anywhere will no longer afford to do so.

It’s been said that they reissued the surveyors to target more younger people to get the result they wanted. Not sure if true but I wouldn’t be shocked.

£15 a day, £75 a week, £300 a month £3600 a year

It’s a complete disgrace and I really don’t understand why the people who typically love to clamour for the poorer among us, are not only not disgusted by this but in fact support it!

The cynic in me thinks it might be different if it were a Conservative mayor proposing this huge tax during the toughest times in several generations…

Not in Lisboa!

But the Exclusion Zone there works brilliantly, IMO. As a private citizen/visitor, you can only enter if you are resident, a caregiver or have a blue badge (there’s no option to ‘buy your way in&rsquo, it’s full of shared bikes and scooters, public transport is brilliant (apparently there’s now nowhere in Lisbon that you’re more than 300m from a tram, bus or metro stop and most of the time you’re going to be much closer), and basically, it’s as good as pedestrianised.

Feels like a big fun, green theme park.

Lisbon has a higher population density.

Lisbon - 6450 people/km²

It's a lot of extra money for people with older cars to find, I agree.

But it's also an incentive towards EVs / Hybrids which you can now pick up pretty easily second hand.

I'm in two minds about it, the environmentalist in me thinks it's great, but there should be some financial assistance, or 0% loans being issued for the poorer inhabitants to help them purchase a motor that will save them the "tax"

Did anyone see the murder live on TV?

When Michael Heseltine destroyed Tice/Oakshott on their own show. Was beautiful.

The conspiracy theory surrounding 15 minute cities is hilarious. They actually sound like a great idea.
