Wouldn’t risk most first team players.

Not with a friday game coming up

Jansson is start for match fitness reasons (although he didn’t sound like he missed a beat at the weekend)

Ayling and Berardi I wouldn’t risk anywhere near the squad due to lack of cover in those areas.

Baker starts in midfield for me and I’d would rest siaz.

I’d like to see Pearce play, and if he is fit Dallas where siaz is.

Bamford starting also seems like a no brainer.

Harrison starts in the wing in place of alioski.

I’d also wrapped Pablo in cotton wool and tell him not to leave the house at all this week

As mentioned on previous post, should play similar team to last cup game

Actually High appears to have pulled out all the stops for this one, most impressed.
I thought there were rules on the amount of changes a team can make, if not team as I wrote elsewhere

Blackman, Ayling, Pontus, Shaugnessy, Pearce, Phillips, Baker, Shackleton, Saiz, Clarke, Bamford

If Dallas isn't fit, who else is there to create.

For me cup matches show just how stretched we are.

i think it's kind of a good time for a cup game.
we've played the same 11 all year and i think our squad needs to get some game time.
not important if we win but it would be nice to progress on our own terms.

Ridiculous that our Boro game was moved to Friday with this cup round. Ah well, we're used to it with Sky Leeds.

Make 10 changes. Preston will do the same.

11 changes if we can.

It looks like Phillips will be exhausted by Christmas! Have we anyone else who can play his role?

Jack Clarke played 90 mins tonight and was cramping at the end, counts him out really.

Edmonson also played full 90 JLA.

3-1 Leeds. Bamford to get a brace.

Thanks Els, that's him out then.

Any U23 notables that did not play tonight which indicates they may be involved tomorrow?

Jonny, I am sure that Bielsa has had U23's on the bench the day after they played in the development league. Sam Dalby taken off half way through the game last night, possibly he might be on the bench.
Edmonson big and strong could also be in with a shout.

Thanks, I was thinking more about which U23s might start tomorrow?

Don’t make to many changes and disrupt the team.

Rest BPF, Douglas, Saiz/Alioski, Philips.

Shaugnessy didn't play which may mean he might start tomorrow.

Personally, think that's a bit too much change.

We play a massive game on Friday. I don't want to risk the fitness of Ayling, Berardi, Klich or Roofe.

Wrap the 1st teamers in Cotton Wool.

Imagine any of them getting injured in a silly Carbonara Cup game.

All change minus Pontus who needs the match fitness. Although I'd still be hesitant based on the fact Cooper is still out.

Sure, rest some key players as its a cup game, but you need to keep a core that other slot into otherwise you run risk of lack of cohesion which causes players to doubt the strategy, especially if result is poor.

It's not hard to sub players off if team playing well and then want to rest them.

Some of them will have to play, we refuse to sign depth, we must face the consequences/run the risks. What if we pick up a or an injury tonight.....
