That nobody can say where we will be is a damning indictment of our political leaders who have made a James Hunt of this from the start
Folk will be adversely affected as I just don’t see a resolution where the majority are left unscathed

Given the Irish border issue looks like there's no other option but to remain in the CU and SM. EEA/Efta respects referendum but is the least damaging.

A lot depends on political goodwill on both sides.

That is my worry, as we will or could have short term pain for long term gain with brexit, and the poor will be hit.....those who backed leave.I

The damage limitation now is concerning as any brexi t economic positive has gone,,and even leavers have not convinced red me that we will be better off.

Very true....I was meeting an aul mate yesterday in Belfast who knew me back in my nutter days and we had a heart to heart about our past views and the modern world.

We no longer listen to each other's view now thanks to social media, and not knowing each other personally.

We let pwicks like trump, Barnier, corbyn, bojo, May, blair, putin, erdogan and choudhary lead us up their garden path.

Watched a cracking piece on American troops on newsnight this week, and after Iraq, and Afghanistan about four thousand plus soldiers lost their lives,,but since then, over One hundred thousand have taken their own lives, 22 a day.

Young men and Veterans used by guys such as Blair,,Bush,,Clinton, to change regimes, that act as a catalyst for isis, and then let down by society on returning home.

Like the Nam vets who were shunned and ended up forming the Hells Angels....or losing it alone.

First hail and frost of the winter out cycling in Carrick hills today, and set for a cold night.I watched Highland Haven Natural World today, and what a gem you have there.


Regarding being easily led po!tically and being in our wee tribes, a couple of tv programmes recently flicked my switch.

Firstly, during our Troubles, the rival figures disagreed, but knew each other as men, mostly men.then......and even though they were wee orange and green men, they would ask about Billy's wife, or Brendan's daughter at uni, and act like human beings with each other.Now, the modern Srormont is full of folk who hate each other, or who do not know each other and do not try to break down barriers....Like Yes and No in Scotland ,red and blue Stateside, leave and remain in the uk!

We know how to be pc, how to embrace lgbt issues, abortion and secularism, but we do not know each other or listen to different opinion.

Separation and Fear creates loathing and mistrust......I..know, as I hardly knew any Celtic guys growing up other than those I battered or who battered me.

Guy I was meeting yesterday reminded me of a fight I was in at a party at our house near Heathrow, with me and a mad bluenose from Mulingarve-Mulgaey😁against London Irish and South Derry celts.

All the Asian neighbours watching whitey chasing each other about the streets shouting jaiffa and fenyun,,ffs.😱
