Sterling took the papers to court just as he did with the fake story about him cheating in Jamaica, the woman he was with was a childhood friend.
Also settled in court.
Rooney admitted what he did and sterling proved what was written was lies.

----------------------------
Have you actually read that story?
It goes on about how he drove a different car to training every day, owns a 500k Bentley, has a swimming pool at his home and played poorly at Euro 2016. The suggestion being that his poor form in the Euros is down to all the money he has - perhaps he is just too flash? None of which has anything to do with him shopping at Poundland. So they have turned a story about him shopping at Piundland into a negative story about how much money he has/spends/how flash he is and then hinted at the fact that this might be the reason he doesn't/didn't perform for England. How can you not see how they have spun the story in an attempt to make him look bad?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Suggestion that his poor form was down to his lavish lifestyle. Hahaha you have just completely made that up.
It says he was lambasted for his poor showing at the Euros. He was lambasted and he was poor. Love the way some of you twist stories in your own brain
---------------------------------
Yes, he was poor. But notice that they sandwiched the fact in a sentence about how he drive a different car into training every day:
"In November it was revealed that Sterling - who was lambasted for his poor showing at Euro 2016 - had brought a different car to training every day one week."
The fact that he played poorly in the Euros and drive a different car into training every day are totally unrelated. But the tabloids use this approach to suggest that there is some correlation between the two. It is a subtle suggestion that Sterling played poorly because has too much money/is too interested in material things. Unfortunately, people like you don't have the brain capacity to realise that they are being manipulated by the press.

Manc embarrassing himself here. Maybe watch Neville's video wherein he talked about wazza and Becks getting yes the same treatment as you alluded to, but also getting the top top praises. He went on to explain that Ashley Cole, who was the only world class player in his position during that stupid "golden area" never really got the high praise wanna or Beckham. Not one black player has come close for that matter.
“Has sterling being targeted? Yes

So much wrong with that.
Firstly football has always been about attacking players. They get far more praise than defenders. Always have always will.
Secondly becks and rooney at their times were seen as Englands saviours, our best players at the time etc etc.
Pogba is seen as our best player, lauded etc etc however does he warrant all the praise he gets.

Becks had cheated on his wife. He had got sent off for a petulant kick. He had, according to SAF, lost focus on the game.
As has already been explained, if the tabloids target every black player, it becomes a bit obvious. That said, Jesse has certainly had some bad press. Some of the others may have too - I don't really read any tabloids, so wouldn't be aware of that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again pure and utter nonsense
If you want to twist ut to suit your agenda then thst is your problem. Time and time again I seem to have to repeat myself.
Has sterling being targeted? Yes
Is it racially motivated or fuelled? Is it feck
Why? Because other players such as Rooney and Beckham have had the same treatment if not worse.
