Jacob's Ladder - Sat staring at the screen for 15 minutes in silence after it ended.
Pet Sematary - Not the movie but the book - had to stop reading every few pages because it just facking scared the shiiiit out of me. The movie is soooooooooo bad compared to the book.
SAW - saw one, the first one, and that was the end of itdont want to see any SAW movie ever again
One special mention, IT (the first movie), clown scared the living daylights out of me for 2.5 hours, until the last scene and then it just turned into a comedy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree- ending ruined IT. Love the atmosphere of the rest of the film, the weird ambiguity between all-American (albeit flawed) childhood and the menace which lurks beneath.

Rec was great. It was good in every way Blair witch was shiiit. I’ve seen Blair witch both in cinema and at home. It’s rubbish. I got bored over half way into the home watch with not one hair on my neck anywhere near sitting up.
Alien - now that’s a proper scary film. Best creature enemy in history, and sone amazing set pieces.
The thing- it doesn’t get more twisted effects wise than this brilliant film.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alien is incredible; Sigourney is amazing in the film and the alien creature itself is beyond parallel. Can't believe the film is so old.
The Thing was brilliant, too.
Event Horizon ruddy scary.

No such thing as sleep paralysis, it’s actually demonic entities pinning you down.
------------------------------
Certainly feels that way... It's horrific... I don't get them as much any more (maybe once a month) but when I was a heavy drinker, it was 3-4 times a week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's nothing like it is there.
I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
It's supposed to be a precursor to an out of body experience.
I can just about move my mouth during sleep paralysis but not much - think the Tin Man whilst they're oiling his lips.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to shake my head as hard as I can to wake up and escape it (in the dreamstate, but also affects reality).
One thing always triggers it in my dreams... If i try to switch a light off. Then just the feeling of dread and someone in the room or pinning me down. Always in the darkest pitch black imaginable.

Yes, it worked because it seemed so typically BBC to begin with, with well-known light entertainment people and the likes of Craig Charles goofing around. It then becomes all very Enfield Poltergeist.

No, but most horror movies aren't taken as seriously as Don't Look Now.
Don't really get scared at Horror movies any more but, for some reason, the scene in Signs with the alien in the alley made me shudder a bit.
Back when I was a kid I though Salem's Lot was quite scary especially the scene with the vampire tapping the window. A version of The Fog was also quite scare to a young DC77 too.
btw - any one tried horror games and films in VR?
Now that is the next level. The sensation of something just out of your peripheral vision is palpable. As with most horror films, sound plays a huge part and having the ability to have 360 sound really creeps you out.
