Social gathering, Scouse. The quantity of cheese was great, but so was the variety.

You had a load of cheese and dreamt about the queen.

Aldo, in my dream she was only 18 inches tall, which surprised me. I concluded that osteoporosis had taken its toll on her.

She should have been off with his head with that big sword.

She was sitting next to me. The conversation was sotto voce, because I felt that if Philip was very bad she wouldn’t want it to be heard by everybody present. There were about ten or fifteen of us in her sitting room, all quite low-key. She makes all the cheeses herself, it turned out. They were all exquisitely labelled by hand.

Were you 'dubbed' with a cheese knife ?

That’s the strange thing Ang. There were no knives. She had cut off a few small pieces of cheese from each one (there were dozens and dozens of cheeses), but the pieces were tiny and still had on the rind, so it wasn’t as if I could pop one in my mouth. I didn’t know what to do.
