It is. He was out of contract so signed a new one with a condition it had that release.

Great Article..... What a player hew was, Holy shlt, how we could do with him in his prime right now !!! Makes a lot of good points but the game is very different to the late 70's early 80s, the pressures, the money etc... not sure there are that many similarities between Poch & Burks

Maybe Spurs could do a deal with Leeds and they can keep Clarke and do us a deal for Kalvin Philips... He looks a really good player

He was always though of very highly in England's youth setup but suffered an injury that set him back few years of development I believe

Just add him to the list. Players have all the power now and if you can't tempt them to sign new deal with massive wages (which Levy wont pay) then you have no chance

Great, stuck with Rose cluttering up the squad for another 18 months. Unless of course, somebody comes in and offers to pay him more then he will be off like a shot, which they won't.

Same with Eriksen. Done himself no favours with his abject performances.

Hard to know what to say anymore re Spurs & Contracts. We went from being pretty proactive (Lots of improved/rolling contracts that were high incentivised) to acting like complete muppets.... Selling Trips & Dembele for buttons without replacements, not getting deals done for players who clearly were running down their deals & the less said about our activity in the windows the better.....Are we just asleep at the wheel or so arrogant that we assume players and other clubs will always do deals on our terms. Levy might be puffing up his legacy as this great urban developer but his rep as a great negotiator has gone to shlt
