It was discussed a few months ago on Questions Time and one of the panel members had the audacity to say that knife crime is on the rise, partly due to the closures of youth centres.
I mean come on... That is a simply unacceptable excuse for murder.
Can you imagine it...

Despicable.
We’ve slowly taken discipline out of the home, out of the classroom and away from the Police - and no, that’s the same as suggesting we beat our children.
Perhaps National service would be a good punishment for anyone carrying a blade.

Agree it's not an excuse. But I think the importance of social clubs is downplayed. I used to go with some absolute nutters when I was about 13/14. Played a bit of pool and table tennis twice a week. They were in there and weren't outside bricking windows or nicking stuff.

Why have we got the highest figure for poverty in Europe then? Why are 1.5m of our citizens living in destitute conditions? The disregard for human beings you right wing priiicks have is something else.

If you earn below a certain amount in this country, you get tax credit to help shore up your income.

Romania isn’t a sheethole.
It’s a stunningly beautiful country with incredible mountains, forests, beaches, wetlands and valleys.
It is teeming with wildlife, has a proud and vibrant cultural heritage, fascinating history, and unique architecture and artwork, and is populated in my experience by some of the friendliest, most humble, welcoming and generous people in Europe.
It’s a wonderful place and I’d strongly recommend a visit to anyone who hasn’t been.
And I would rather live in Sibiu, Sighisoara or Marmures than London, for sure.

Generally speaking, I try to avoid discussions like this because it attracts too many fools.
But sometimes when I read comments like Mancinis, I can't help but not respond because it's so frustrating that human beings actually believe the nonsense they peddle.

My parents generation did plenty of bad stuff, but they shielded their kids from their "evil doings" and gave us a fighting chance at decency. I was listening to a neighbor drop f-bombs every 3rd word in front of her 2 toddlers, and it's not unusual for same parent(s) to use drugs and drink in front of these kids. Dads are almost a luxury, involved dads almost a myth. This millennial generation may be the most maladjusted yet, and that's where it starts - at home. Social media has to take it's share of the blame as well, but when Mum swears like a sailor, it seems like these kids are facked. The gov't can't raise kids into responsible adults and shouldn't be expected to. One reason I threw out my TV 3 years ago and no regrets about it, I hate hearing this type of news.

There’s far more to conscription than guns.
It can be an education programme. Youths can be tasked with focusing on civic cultures or being put in placements centred around defence and security.

It was discussed a few months ago on Questions Time and one of the panel members had the audacity to say that knife crime is on the rise, partly due to the closures of youth centres.
I mean come on... That is a simply unacceptable excuse for murder.
Can you imagine it...

Despicable.
We’ve slowly taken discipline out of the home, out of the classroom and away from the Police - and no, that’s the same as suggesting we beat our children.
Perhaps National service would be a good punishment for anyone carrying a blade.

There’s far more to conscription than guns.
It can be an education programme. Youths can be tasked with focusing on civic cultures or being put in placements centred around defence and security.
I’d be quite happy to just let this be for London too. Bleedin lowlifes.

My parents generation did plenty of bad stuff, but they shielded their kids from their "evil doings" and gave us a fighting chance at decency. I was listening to a neighbor drop f-bombs every 3rd word in front of her 2 toddlers, and it's not unusual for same parent(s) to use drugs and drink in front of these kids. Dads are almost a luxury, involved dads almost a myth. This millennial generation may be the most maladjusted yet, and that's where it starts - at home. Social media has to take it's share of the blame as well, but when Mum swears like a sailor, it seems like these kids are facked. The gov't can't raise kids into responsible adults and shouldn't be expected to. One reason I threw out my TV 3 years ago and no regrets about it, I hate hearing this type of news.

The breakdown of the family unit is massive.
The problem however is that certain wings promote single mothers. They empower them - even if all the evidence suggests that kids with single parents, are worse off.
