Holmes playing right back!
Dixie off his game tonight (are you from the U23's Dixie)?
Cocu is committed to getting the young players through wherever possible. What is he to do? This is a great chance to give some of them a step up and no matter who we are playing tonight it is a less important fixture than a league game. The experience will be a million times more valuable than under 23s. If we play a strong line up and still lose, what has he gained?

Just seen the like uo, seems cocu cares as little about this as I do.

It's about the bigger picture, Harps. It's still August after all. But we may be in the minority
There was an incentive for the youngsters. Buchanan and Knight played well at Scunthorpe and shortly after made league debuts.
Positives - my 2-2 forecast is still on.
I think I'd have chosen Knight ahead of Shinnie though just feel like we need a bit more in MF.
Other than that I'm okay had hoped we had done better. Holmes getting a run out though n Paterson putting a shift in. All positives to take into the Championship competition,
Probably a bit more license to do it away from home aswell. Tough on the away fans but perhaps easier on the players.
Think if we can nick a goal though it'll be fun.
Scouse... about to say the same.
But, aside from it being Forest, I dont give a stiff about the moose cup.
It's just a competition for players to prove themselves in and work their way into the league team. If they get knocked out it simply means no more chances for players to prove themselves in this competition this season.
The younger players will feel they don't have much to lose but will want to impress for a chance, the more senior players risk finding themselves frozen out of the league squad until the next cup competition comes up, and really need to be leading the team here.
A sell out of the away tickets and we play the second team is a bit hard on those who bought tickets and then risked the polluted atmosphere at the kennel.
And we can always send on Jack for the last fifteen to win the game if we want to.
Yeah that's my only problem with it. Do think we could be doing a bit better here though.
Holmes getting slated by Psycho.
Speaking of Forest legends, a yellow for Pato.
Are we any clearer about who is playing where?
Think we'll wait to those that were there to get back.
Forest send on a 13M player.
Pounds? Effectively a free transfer.
