Mind when SG signed the bumper new contract and aw the bears were so happy cos they would get a big whack of cash if a big EPL team and came calling (like Brendan Rodgers).

Not quite working out that way eh.

What a collapse. Treeemendous

“We see a real bright future for George. If he can maintain his standards and professionalism there is no reason why he can’t go on to become a top centre half.”

Safe to say those comments were before 5.30 on Saturday 29th February.

he looks fun

Like a Phil Jones type if you will

That clearance that he ended up backheeling to Naismith

He was so good that it was amazing news to tie him down to a longer term contract.......

Not revisionism just deja vu from last season from Jan onwards

wtf has happened to him man, he was always a bit daft but now he's just mental.

I wonder if he has been trying to act more staunch since his return and has just tumbled right into the rabbit hole.

no going back now. full stauncher.

As I just posted elsewhere ...

Neil Critchley, Liverpool U23s coach, has just been appointed as Blackpool manager, so there's a vacancy there. Just saying ...

rats-thing is, right now it’s irrelevant what Lennon does it has done in the past. Lennon was heavily criticised by many-on here-for his behaviour.

If you think ‘aye bit, Lennon’ is a good compfy blanket, then fair enough.

I think his interview at the weekend was naive. He’s under pressure, and that’s not going to improve unless results improve.

On here it's always relevant and whitabootery is an accepted norm, so I'm going for it

I'm realistic enough to know he won't last a lot longer if results don't improve rapidly, though at the same time I'm not going to lose the plot and demand he be sacked at the first downturn.

At the mo he's a bawhair away from the chop IMO. He could be one bad result away from it.

fwiw I don't blame rangers for the stupid schite in the press, apart from when dave king manages to get a hold of a microphone.

an odious fat cvnt has too much power there, you saw it with warburton it was disgraceful.

if rangers were out of Europe he would be pretty much gone now.

tbh I think its still rash.

6 points to play for in the old firm, and 3 to get off county.

saying now till its mathematically impossible for rangers for catch us.

Good win for us yesterday, given the circumstances (dire surface and Thurs night). Only saw it on the Sportscene highlights, but how the feck could the panel (& Tommy Wright) watch that and still come to the conclusion that St Johnstone were pure amazing and deserved a replay?! We missed a series of unbelievable chances. On another day that could easily have been 4 or 5-0. Forster had a few things to do, but all pretty routine saves, in all honesty. Onward and upwards anyway.

Agree on Boli before Taylor if we're sticking with 3-5-2 BTW. Taylor offers zilch going forward in that system, and is hardly Maldini defensively.

If you’re talking about their game in hand, is it not against St Johnstone?

I assume it’ll be played the weekend the semi finals are on. Both teams don’t have a game on then...

It is against St J yep.

I'd pretty much agree with both those posts JFK.

Celtic are the only team in Europe to have won every domestic match in 2020

posted on 2/3/20

Come on

The only reason Gerrard was signed was for the name and the profile.

Rangers board know deep down that Celtic are so far in front I’m every aspect and that’s down to money and a solid infrastructure where there’s plenty of back up and the ability to do something about it quickly if things went wrong.

Bears couldn’t just accept that harsh truth and the board knew the romantic journey and relevant staunchness was wearing thin. It wouldn’t have been long before Hope was abandoned and fans started to desert.

Enter Gerrard. Fans interest is up. They have a new messiah and with borrowed backing way beyond what anyone would have believed, this was the new bright hope along with the oft regurgitated piish of well heeled Rangers men waiting in the wings to pour in multi millions.

And it kept the money churning in.

Two years later and no messiah touch, no well heeled saviours still and the domestic form turning turgid with clear dissension in the ranks and what now?

Rangers have to keep Gerrard and they know it which is why with reality setting in; it’s preferable to be staunch about him because there is no alternative.

The hope now is big bucks for Morelos and a couple of others and just go out and add in talent. Where have we seen this movie before?
