British airways is a major client for my job and if they go bust or whatever that’s my job gone straight away. I’m very worried tbh.

Come off it Robb. Mass unemployment can never be good.

The long term result will be that flights will cost a lot more than they do now as they try to recoup losses over a period of years.

Every single day more articles speculating about something else that we’ll lose due to the pandemic. It’s so facking depressing

The world will recover. Life won’t end. There will be a recession, jobs lost and a big impact no doubt about that - but Jesus can we not think of something positive on the horizon?

I’ve had to cancel my trip to Australia for a while as it doesn’t make sense to be moving country at a crazy time like this while I still have some infrastructure of a safety net in Europe.

That’s a fancy way of saying you’ve cancelled a reservation at Walkabout and are ordering in a pizza instead.

I’m not really saying that it’s a good thing. Not at all - no industry being facked is a good thing. Just trying to see where the positives that might come out of this are - and that for example could be more people staying locally on their holidays and a huge boost to local economies post-corona. The lord giveth and he taketh away etc

(To be clear, I’m not saying I want the industry to go bust, just seeing where the developments could lead)

The twaaaat owns an island and sued the NHS, I’m sure he has more than enough money to tide him by instead of relying on the taxpayer.

Thats quite amusing... lost count the amount of times youve yelled and complained and wanted managers sacked... now you might be.. thats karma

Yep, there going to be a lot of businesses disappear, both big and small.

I just had confirmation from Jet2 yesterday that my flight to Genenva is cancelled. No snowboarding for me this year. I had such a good year planned, but I suspect it will all be cancelled now. Ah well, at least I'll still have my footy.....

British Airways will be fine, it is the smaller airlines, particularly the budget field that will be hit hard.

First of all, Who have I called to get sacked? And secondly, am I a millionaire like any standard manager in football who can afford to go years without employment?

Yes, that is the most important thing. Still gutted. No snowboarding, no Glasto and no summer holiday.

Probably going to end up paying twice as much for my summer holiday to go to Centre Parcs in Sherwood b@stard Forest.

I don’t know, they’re forcing their cabin crew to take unpaid leave and some of them are being hit with redundancies.

seriously.... if it takes you years to find a job then there are 2 issues.

1 - youre either way to picky

2 - youre unemployable

They were bound to do that, as will everybody else but British Airways itself will not cease to exist. Minor tour companies are fecked mind, they have small margins and some will disappear by the summer.
