Who should leave in the next window?

Also forgot Pogba as a maybe.

While I would to see an in form motivated Pogba in the team if he wants to be elsewhere then let him off. Not sure where he fits in now anywhere unless we change the formation.

I’d love to see him, Fred and Bruno as a midfield 3 but Ole seems insistent on playing a number 10.

There are at least two posters who would have Ole in the first category.
I would go with yours, spot on for me.

Second category. Similar but I would keep Mata.

Yes I would ideally keep Mata too. Hopefully we can sell Pereira and Lingard.

Definite 'Keeps should be:

Smalling
Jones
Shaw
AWB
Mata - age is an issue, but he isn't a 'high energy' player anyway
Pogba
Fred
Matic
James
Fernandes
Ighalo

Asked to leave - unless they are prepared to be bench players:

Martial
Coco
Rashford

Booted out of the door - with some bus fare:

Lingard

Out:

Sanchez
Lingard
Pereira
Rojo
Jones

I'd try and keep Smalling. Bailly & Tuanzebe are both very good players but need to show some fitness over a sustained period of time. That leaves only Maguire & Lindelof. So I'd want to keep Smalling around (rather than go and spend again in the CB position).

Pogba obviously has a big question mark over his head. If he wants to be here and his agent is going to behave himself, great. If not...

I agree Smalling is certainly the best out of the three but he’d also get the biggest fee so I was looking at it from a financial perspective also.

This is more or less where I’m at. And I wouldn’t be upset about Pogba leaving.

Realistically, I think we’ll *most likely* see most or all of Pogba, Pereira, Smalling and Rojo moved on.

I think the club has made its bed with Smalling, and Jones I think the club will retain as Rojo will certainly go.

The key is shifting Sanchez. It’s going to be very, very hard to do. He’s getting paid more than the other four in Berba’s list *combined*.

Even if we do manage to move him on, I strongly suspect we’ll still be paying part of his salary for a while, one way or another.

Who would you be looking at bringing in at LB and CB Dazza?

Matic will stay now that he’s signed a new deal. Certainly would extend that at the moment though.

Shaw is a good player who’d been very good lately and is a great option on the left of a back 3 which is formation we will probably continue to use.

Bet they offer Pereira and Lingard for Grealish

Only way to get rid, can’t see anyone buying them

Mightn’t actually be a bad deal for Villa.

Seriously?

Obviously Grealish is better than those two but if he is destined to leave then Pereira and Lingard could do a job there.

In the championship maybe

I’d bring Smalling back and try and Get Digne from Everton and send Shaw their way.

Sancho will take up a lot of our transfer budget so buying a cb wouldn’t be my top priority.

I know Matic will stay, as will Shaw, but I think they should both go, which was what the OP asks.

Pogba is in a bit of a quandry now. Fully expected him to play exceptionally for the last five games and have a cracking tournament for France. Not sure who'd pay the money anyway but it could work in Utds favour. His career is dwindling, he needs a season where he leaves it all out on the pitch.

Lingard, Pereira, Jones and Sanchez (pending wage obstacle) should be the first lot on the list to leave.

Read Smalling wants to turn his loan to a permanent move.

In Defence : Jones and Rojo. Smalling if he wants to leave.
Midfield: Pereira and Lingard. Pogba if he isn't committed.
Attack: Sanchez.

That's about 5-7 players to leave. 3 of whom are already out on loan. That's not including Gomes, who seems like he will leave.
