I disagree completely.

A few scenes aside, Hacksaw Ridge was pretty rubbish, a much inferior Gibson film compared to the brilliantly delirious Apocalypto.

Hacksaw ridge was good, even better when you realise the guy actually did that for real- amazing.

Meh, it was like a Hallmark movie for the most part. Had a couple of well directed intense moments on the battlefield, but I want more from a director like Gibson.

Fair enough, horses for courses, I see inglorious mentioned a lot, as a good film, but it’s typical Tarantino mindless waffle for the sake of it. Dislikable characters, (made me want the Germans to win ffs!) but has some decent tense scenes. I might give it a rewatch to see if it grows on me, but I really hate tarrantino’s mindless try-to-hard-but-goes-nowhere filler dialogue. I suppose atleast inglorious has less of that than most of his movies, hateful 8 for example was sheer boredom.

It was fantastic. Character driven. True story. Intense. Great film imo.

I would take platoon over Dunkirk if I’m honest, brilliant film.

Respectfully disagreeI consider Tarantino’s work to be near flawless.

Fair enough, I consider it to be very flawed and overindulgent. Each to their own.
