The weird thing is-our premiership hasn’t ended yet. We won’t be the first to call it ‘as is’ either, and won’t be the only ones to do so.

The bigger leagues will want to finish this season for 2 reasons-making sure they get all their tv money, and making sure they don’t end up in court. Smaller leagues will just try to find a solution that is best suited, as there’s no solution that’s going to make everyone happy.

We’re going to end up in Scotland with most people agreeing that the right decision has been made, but argue about how we got there.

but maclennan when asked by maclennan told maclennan that loans or advances couldn't be made

There would always have been difficulties, but the way the vote was handled was still an absolute joke. It was rushed into, no proper consideration of any alternatives. Vote mess and all has followed on from that votes, lies, bullying, corruption allegations etc. Announcing relegations and then a minute later you have reconstruction to appear to appease clubs rather than for good of game.

The league was ongoing and wouldn’t have been finished till mid May anyway. If the vote has simply happened next weekend it’d have given time to see where we are, consider options and you’d have hoped with more time they wouldn’t have made a mess on it.

I think there’s a difference with the end of season payment. Could be wrong on that. I think these advances were for the mid season payment.

There were 5 or 6 alternatives that were discussed by the SPFL board (that includes Robertson btw). They then unanimously agreed that one proposition was more suitable than the others. It was then presented to all the other clubs, along with a 25 page summary document for them to vote on. Part of that btw did include to talk about reconstruction. The clubs had 28 days to vote on it, but were asked to vote by 5 on the Friday.

The vote was to end the lower leagues as they stood. The premiership has not concluded, and won’t without further consultation with the premiership teams.

Advances on mid season payments, funded by Celtic, not the SPFL. Not loans based on final league standings.

Or perhaps there’s 2 sides to a story, and people are just providing some balance?

I don’t think any poster has said that if rangers evidence is strong enough, then there shouldn’t be an independent investigation. The issue for me just now is the perception of what has taken place, and have Doncaster and the SPFL board (including the CE from rangers) followed the law and their own rules. If they’ve followed the rules agreed by the clubs, then that can’t be put at the door of anyone but the clubs.

Personally, I think it could have been dealt with better, but I don’t think there is ever a way an incident like this could have been dealt with without attracting criticism.

I think the right decisions have been made so far. There was no need for the bottom leagues to be kept hanging on, especially if there’s a need for money. There was a meeting yesterday to discuss how they can finish this season. I don’t think how they got to the decisions was dealt with well, but I think that to solely blame one man-or two-and not look at the wider influences is wrong.

‘ Murdoch MacLennan is he not the guy that had previously written articles stating how he "hated" Rangers and wish they were gone/dead?’

No, I don’t think he did write any articles like that, but I’m sure if he did you’ll find them pretty quickly.

I'm not doing research for you!

I'm sure Rangers called for him to be removed based on comments he made and everything was dealt with the Scottish Football way (swept under the carpet)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For comments he’s alleged to have made, as opposed to articles he’s written then?
