He was good for a while.

Giving him that massive new contract was arguably a worse decision than us giving massive wages to Sanchez.

I did think Fred’s improvement was getting a bit overhyped at the start of the season. But to be fair to him he’s just been getting better and better.

I’m not really a fan of his style, to be honest. But it’s hard to deny his impact in the midfield this season. The break really came at a bad time for him.

Teams give Fred the ball because there is a zero threat when he has it. Such a limited player. His only saving grace now is that he can pass to Fernandes.

Happened at Anfield. Every other United player we pressed but when Fred had the ball they had a breather. They even let him find row z with a couple long range shots.

I remember him being the best player on the pitch in that game for much of the 2nd half. Commentators said the same.

Which agenda is that? People can have different opinions you know? Not everybody is a biased United fan. Majority of fans who aren't United fans will say Fred has overall been poor. Yes he's been better than woeful this season, yes he has improved but he's poor. I watched him play for Shaktar a few times and he was outstanding. Running the show, dribbling, long range shots. He looks a shadow of that player.

I agree he's making improvements. I agree he's settling into the team and I agree he could get better and better. However the level the improvements have brought him to, wouldn't getting him in to a title challenging team. That could change as he continues to improve.

I could probably name 30. However I'm not going to waste my time. If you think Fred has been good then crack on, whilst teams with actual good players win trophies. It's a confusing time for you no doubt.

I think it matters. Form isn’t something you can just flick on and off. He’d finally found form in a United shirt and it was interrupted, that’s never a good for thing a footballer. Even tor the best ones it’s not.

Yes, it's especially important for players who had a hard time and are turning it around, you need to keep it going as the slightest disruption can dent the confidence and you're back to square one.

I don't see what's delusional about that. He should be in with a shout, no doubt. Just because he isn't an attacker, doesnt mean he shouldn't. I prefer midfielders over attackers, plus I'm obviously biased. He would be my choice.
